No. Training happens within office hours, from Monday mornings to Friday afternoons. We might occasionally work a bit later, depending on weather conditions on the day, or phases of training (for example, when doing night tracking or night-time bite work) Any additional activities that might affect timings will be communicated upfront.

Congratulations to 24/7 Security’s Hildah Maloba who successfully completed her Unit Standard 243192: Maintaining Training Standards of Trained Service Dog at Genesis K9 Group.

As the 24/7 Security K9 Compliance Officer, Hildah is responsible for planning and conducting continuous training, applying conditioning techniques, and evaluate our services dogs’ performance to maintain training standards. It ensures that our working dogs remain operationally competent, responsive, and capable, while also enabling her to assess handlers’ abilities to control their dogs effectively.

Eugen Mathila has been part of the team for nine years and brings 13 years of experience in dog training. Specialising in detection, he trains dogs for narcotics and explosives work.

His career has taken him to Zambia and Southern Sudan, where he has trained numerous handlers. His favourite aspect of dog training is problem-solving, finding innovative ways to enhance a dog’s skills and performance.
