This dog was found on Paarl mountain reserve with 2 stitches in from steri, but not chipped. Does anyone recognise him? He is currently at Wellington SPCA.

Freckle is a long time foster dog of ours. Unfortunately he had an accident on a recent walk which shattered his ankle. We have tried to have it heal naturally with splints etc but with no success. We have been lucky to find Dr Ian, an orthopedic vet at Tygerberg who is prepared to do the operation, involving plates and screws, at just about cost price at R30 000. This is our only choice rather than putting him down, and he is only three years old! We know that times are tough, but any amount you can give, no matter how small, will add up in the end. Please pay into Drakenstein Animal Rescue, Standard Bank, Acc no. 10121727430 and reference your name and "Freckle" so that we know whom to thank. We can also issue a tax certificate so that you can claim your contribution back when submitting your tax return. Thank you so much for your consideration.

This whole little family of 5 were sterilized today, and they all tested negative for Feline Aids and Leukemia.

This gorgeous little girl was picked up in the Main Road in Northern Paarl. Is anyone missing her? She is currently at Boulevard Animal Hospital. Please contact them urgently if she is your doggie.

Lexi was taken to the vet this morning to take out her drain. She was attacked by another dog and her owner contacted us for help. Thank you Mieke 🐾
