🐾 Meet Sponono: A Rescue Story of Hope and Healing 🐾 Just over a week ago we received a call from a caring member of the community about a sweet dog in need. That’s how we met Sponono, an injured pup who needed urgent care. we can only assume he was in a fight with another dog. 💔Sponono spent a week at our kennel receiving antibiotics, treatment, and plenty of food. With the help of our amazing field worker Jacques, Sponono’s wounds are healed, and this brave soul returned home. 🏡❤️We’re so grateful to the compassionate person who reported Sponono’s situation—it’s a reminder that together, we can save lives. A Heartwarming Transformation: Lyfie's Journey 🐕🐾. On 30 August 2024, AWSO was informed about a dog named Lyfie living on Arina Farm who was suffering from severe skin issues caused by mange. Her condition was heartbreaking, but thanks to the support of amazing people, we were able to step in and help.With a dose of Nexgard, a NEW warm kennel to sleep in, and some nutritious dog food, Lyfie's journey to recovery began. By 16 September, after her second dose of Nexgard, the improvement was already visible—her coat was starting to grow back, and she looked much healthier.Today, AWSO visited Lyfie again and was overjoyed to see her transformation. You can hardly recognized her—her coat is now fully grown, and she looks absolutely amazing!This would not have been possible without the kind-hearted individuals who donated supplies and supported her recovery. Heartwarming story of Babatjie finding his forever home.
After receiving numerous applications for our special friend Babatjie.
The adoption committee agreed on the family in Montagu, Cape Town.
On Wednesday 16 October 2024 we took the long road to Cape Town.
Maruchan was saying her goodbyes as we fetched Babatjie where he was fostered by Felicity Meyer and her family. After close to 1067km travel over two days he reached his forever home.
We wish him all the best.

Just over a month later and Pote is still stuck in a vet cage. We hate seeing him here. He is so loving and adorable. It's not fair on him.
