🎉🎉 We are now 29 years old!! 🎉🎉
I caught myself in a moment of life reflection this morning - Wow, how time has flown!
The following came up as a memory today - sharing it again for the newer members of the family to know a bit of our history...
~~ "The realisation of a childhood dream came to fruition in the month of October 1996 when I stepped in to hold the reins at the stables. 3 horses, 2 ponies and 2 pupils is what I started with. I was 17 years old at the time!
As a child I would sit in the grass arena at Mazarat Stables while eating my lunch, lost in the daydreams of running the stables one day....
A high school accounting project brought about the idea of Sunrae Stables - the dream was continuing to grow but never did I believe it would actually come true, especially on the farm I held so dear in my heart...
Well, time has flown and though not all happened as planned, a bumpy road with it's uphill climbs, I am proud to say that I am one of the lucky ones - I realised a childhood dream!
Sunrae Valley Stables at Mazarat Farm in Waterfall is now 20 years old!
Sincere love and appreciation to all those who have been a part of my journey thus far.
There are many more memories to be made on this special farm and all are welcome to share in it's unique beauty.."
There have been so many changing members to our horsey/stable family over the 29 years, as children grow up & become adults and move off on their life's journey.
Many keep in touch and come to visit from time to time which really fills my heart.. 🩷
Each & every child & their families who have been here, long term or short, have their place in the story here on our special old farm.
Shew! I'm feeling old! Wishing I could find some of that 17year old's energy!😄
So grateful to all the special horse souls who have & continue to teach me - I'm their forever scholar! 🐴🥰
