Sugar Plum Fairy is a well known and loved patient at Wellington Animal Hospital. This little Saddlebred filly had an accident in which she severed all her extensor tendons in her one hind limb. These tendons are extremely important for the movement of the leg as it helps to lift, move forward and place the hoof correctly. She was unable to walk normally but with an operation and many months of bandages, corrective hoof trimming, physio and some tlc we can happily say she is on the road to a full recovery. She is bearing weight on her limb and walking normally. We are very greatful to her owner Dr Ross Millin for giving us the opportunity to save this special girls life. We hope she brings you as much joy as she has to us during her stay at the hospital.
