✨🐴 Client Spotlight: The Chadinha Family 🐴✨

What an absolute joy it is to have the Chadinha family as part of our stables! 🌟 This is truly a family where the love for horses runs deep — with dad, mom, and daughter all shining in the show ring.

💫 Olivia Chadinha – our little superstar under 10 – is a natural talent. With her park horse, Royal Sultan, and her three-gaited horse, Rare Success, she continues to impress time after time. Always right at the top of her classes, she shows an incredible ability to listen, learn, and bring out the very best in her horses. A true pleasure for Charl to train, Olivia rides with eagerness, joy, and an instinct well beyond her years.

💫 Lani Chadinha is a powerhouse in the saddle with her five-gaited horse, Handsome Warrior. Stylish, elegant, and focused — she and Handsome Warrior light up every class they step into.

💫 Frans Chadinha completes the trio with his three-gaited park horse, November’s Pride. Dedicated, passionate, and always immaculately turned out, Frans not only shines in the ring but is also the first to lend a helping hand behind the scenes — something we truly value in our stable family.

✨ Together, the Chadinhas set such a beautiful example of teamwork, dedication, and love for the sport. From their immaculate turnout and attention to detail, to the warmth and positivity they bring to every show, they are truly a pleasure to ride and show alongside.

Sy gee nooit op nie — dag na dag, oefen na oefen, hou sy aan met ’n vasberadenheid wat regtig inspirerend is. 🐴✨ Nou begin ons dit duidelik sien in haar plasings: die selfvertroue, die styl, en die vrugte van haar harde werk.

Lizandi en haar perd, The Persuader, het oor tyd ’n onbreekbare band opgebou, en dit wys in elke oomblik. 🌟 Hulle is besig om hul eie stempel af te druk. 🐎🔥

Lizandie van Zyl het die afgelope naweek aan die WP Saalperd Streekskou in Moorreesburg deelgeneem. Hiermee haar uitslae:
🥇 1ste plek: 3-Gang Plesierperd (ruiters 11–14 jaar)
🥇 1ste plek: 3-Gang Plesierperd Ruiterkuns (ruiters 18 jaar en jonger)
🥉 3de plek: Groot Kampioen 3-Gang Plesierperd (alle ouderdomme)
🥉 3de plek: 5-Gang Kinderryperd (ruiters 11–14 jaar)
Western Cape Saddleseat:
In die 1ste rondte van die WP-span proewe het sy ’n algehele 2de plek behaal. Baie geluk Lizandie!

🌟🐴 Big smiles, brave hearts & proud moments! 🐴🌟

This weekend was extra special as we got to watch Faiz Gasiep shine in his very first class with his horse X-Factor. ✨ He did an absolutely amazing job and was just a little bright star in the ring — we couldn’t be prouder! 💫

And his sister, Razia Gasiep, stole hearts in the Lead Rein Under 8 Class with her beautiful horse Nite Off All. 🌹 Such a brave little girl on such a big horse — riding with pure joy and confidence, and proving herself to be a true superstar already! 🌈🐴💖

It’s moments like these that remind us why we love this sport so much — the way horses bring out the very best in children. 🌟 Their smiles, their courage, their growth … it’s just magical to witness.

A huge thank you to our trainer, Charl, whose passion and incredible gift for working with children shines through every step. 🌟 With his guidance, we know these two are on their way to becoming something truly special.

We’re so excited for this brother-and-sister duo as they begin their journey in the Under 8 and Under 10 divisions — and we can’t wait to see where the future takes them! 🐴💫

🌟🐴 What an absolute thrill it was to watch Luka Nel & Victory Power light up the arena this weekend! ✨💃

Their qualifying class was nothing short of breathtaking 💥 … and then to come back and take the Three-Gaited Child Riding Horse Championship on Saturday 🏆 had the whole crowd on their feet! 👏🔥

At just 16 years old, Luka’s bond with Victory Power is pure magic — the kind of connection that makes you smile just watching them together 🌈🐴💖.

A huge thank you to her amazing mom, Aneen, for capturing these jaw-dropping shots 📸 … memories as stunning as the moments themselves!

We couldn’t be prouder of this superstar pair 🌟 and we’re so excited for their season ahead — especially their run at the Robertson Showgrounds! 💫🐴

✨🐴 A warm welcome to Timmy Liebenberg! 🐴✨

We’re so excited to have Timmy join the Charl Oosthuysen Stables family! 🌟 His very first show with us at Moorreesburg was an absolute highlight, and we already know this is the start of an amazing journey together.

We’ve fallen head over heels for his two young park horses, Black Opal and Black Cloud. 🖤🖤 Timmy’s natural light with these black beauties shines so brightly, and it’s inspiring to watch the partnership unfold.

Timmy isn’t just a talented horseman — he’s also a humble, kind, and beautiful soul to have around the stables. 💫

As we head towards the Robertson Show in the first week of October, we wish him and his gorgeous duo the very best of luck! 🍀✨

There’s something truly special about watching a dream take shape, step by step. 💫

She’s Addictive has captured hearts here at C.O.S Stables. Bred and raised by her loving owner, she is a picture of elegance, quality, and promise. From her kind eye to her impressive presence, this young filly is already showing the makings of an exceptional horse.

We are honoured to be part of her journey and grateful for the trust her owner has placed in Charl’s training. It’s a privilege to work with horses so beautifully bred, and with owners whose passion runs so deep.

🥰Behind the Beauty🥰

Before the spotlights, before the ribbons, and before the applause — there is someone quietly making it all possible. The groom.

In the early hours, while most of us are still wrapped in dreams, he’s already up making sure your horse is fed.

Throughout the day, he’s watching. Noticing a limp before it becomes an injury. Picking up on mood changes. Knowing when a horse is ready to push and when it needs rest. His hands are weathered, but kind. His voice is low, calm — a grounding presence for horses trained to be full of fire and flair.
And when the ribbons are handed out, you’ll often see him in the background, smiling quietly, already thinking about the next horse, the next feed, the next task.

To the grooms: we see you. We thank you. You are the heartbeat of the Saddlebred world🎖🏆🥇
