Using string to improve my fruit tree's branch placement & structure
We spend a huge amount of time making sure our fruit trees have the best possible structure. This will ensure maximum fruit production without the risk of a branch breaking under the weight of a tree full of fruit.
Using string to place fruit tree branches is an incredibly effective way to position and correct branch placement.
You can correct your fruit trees branch placement and structure at any time of the year and you need to leave the string on the branch for at least a full year.

Duckling update: After a very rough load shedding outage from 2am to 6.30am we unfortunately lost 2 little ducklings π’
We have 3 very strong ones and 5 that are late bloomers (fully detached from the egg) that we are just syringe feeding water and very small amounts of food. They are all fluffed up and moving a lot but just very weak.
We suspect the 4.5hr power outage may have hit those 5 quite hard during a crucial phase of nutrient transfer from the yolk sak to the duckling.
Nonetheless we keep forging ahead to give these duckies the best opportunity at an awesome life π»

Horse manure compost
Last week I picked up a load of horse manure from nearby stables and 1 week later it is doing its thing and the steam showing how well the breakdown process is working. No smell and free, high-quality compost within an urban environment.
Make smart, sustainable choices that benefit you and and the environment π»
