🐶 | Why Do Dogs Kick After They P**p?

You’ve probably seen it — your dog finishes their business and then starts kicking the grass or dirt behind them. Most people think they’re trying to cover it up... but they’re not! 🐾🌱

Dogs actually kick to mark their territory. Their paws have scent glands, and the kicking motion spreads their scent and visual marks as a signal to other animals: “I was here.”

At OVAH, we love seeing the fascinating ways animals communicate — and this one is both quirky and instinctual!

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄?

Pregnancy scanning in Angora ewes is one of the most effective ways to manage a flock. By identifying which ewes are carrying singles or multiples, farmers can adjust feeding and care to ensure healthier kids and boost wool production.

Today we scanned 191 Angora ewes – setting the stage for stronger outcomes for both the flock and the farmer.
