❌❌❌WARNING: RABIES❌❌❌

SANParks and Cape Nature are urging members of the public to refrain from making physical contact with seals – dead or alive – as there is currently an outbreak of rabies along the coastal shores of the Western Cape and Northern Cape provinces of South Africa.

Rabies has, however, not been found in other marine mammal species.

Our lovely neighbours in Sonnet Quay recently got a beautiful pup which sadly managed to escape from them while they were travelling on the N7 somewhere in the region of Hopefield about a week ago.

I’m hoping that those of you who have connections on the West Coast would mind sharing little Oscar’s photo and please.

Let’s spread our net as wide as we can to help to reunite Oscar to Chivonne and Deano.
