Meet Thor, the newest member of the FFFR family.... He was taken into the pound as a stray, found in a gutter😢.... We need you all to keep your fingers crossed for our baby🤞

Thor is approximately 16 weeks old, severely emaciated, malnourished & in a pretty bad way. We’ve done xrays & found he has metal in his stomach... how this happened we don’t know. Either way he needs emergency surgery & that’s what he will receive! He will receive everything he needs & more from this day on, we promise to do everything we can for him💚

Our vet has confirmed, it wasn’t just metal we could see in the X-rays, it was a long piece of ROPE with METAL in it! He is still currently in surgery & we will keep you all updated. Thank you to everyone who has donated, messaged, commented & shared ❤️

Thor is doing really well! He is still critical for the next 48 hours but our fingers are crossed he will make a full recovery 💚. We are doing everything possible for him & he is getting the very best care at our amazing vets 🥰

Who ever wishes to train a dog ,to understand and judge it's behaviour must be clear that human standards cannot be applied.
A DOG is not a creature which thinks and feels in human way,But a beast which man has turned into a domestic animal. The dog has no insight into what we want of him and for what purpose he is supposed to do or retrain from doing,this or that.
He has only a very limited capacity of penetrating into our minds,although a certain transference of feeling between man and dog is not excluded.
Man on the other hand thanks to his intellectual superiority is able by studying the psychological qualities of the dog to pe*****te into his mind and understand.
Man has a moral obligation to study the mind of dogs if he wishes to keep and train them.

Rabies is usually associated with dogs or bats, but it also can develop in a variety of livestock such as cattle, sheep, and goats.

It is caused by a virus that affects the nervous system and is transmitted by the saliva of an infected animal, usually via a bite or by saliva coming in contact with mucous membranes (eyes, nose, or mouth) or an opening in the skin.

Hypersalivation, itching, impaired coordination, lameness, the appearance of choking, and bellowing are some of the signs of rabies in cattle. Affected cattle may also exhibit aggressive behaviour, muscle spasms, convulsions, and anxiety.

Considering the serious nature of this untreatable disease, prevention should be the key focus for owners. The disease is easily prevented with yearly Rabies vaccines.

If owners are exposed to the saliva of an infected animal, wash the contaminated area with soap and water as soon as possible, especially if the saliva came into contact with an open wound, and consult with your healthcare provider.

If rabies is suspected in your livestock, working with your local veterinarian and state health authorities is imperative in containing the outbreak from further spreading.
