Dogs should eat at least two meals each day, about 12 hours apart. But a breakfast, lunch, and dinner schedule is an equally great option. If more than 12 hours elapses between meals, the stomach can become hyperacidic causing nausea.

It is often asked what's the best age to vaccinate aganist rabies.
Best age is 3 months. Why three month , why not before? This is because your pup received maternal antibody from a vaccinated mother dog. This antibody interferes with rabies antigen(vaccine) therefore, immunity does not happen. After three months the effects of maternal antibody is lessened , therefore rabies vaccination done after 3 months produces immunity in pups.

What Are the Four Stages of the Canine Heat Cycle?

During your dog’s complete heat cycle, she will experience four phases. A typical heat period lasts roughly two to four weeks, with a pregnancy or resting phase following the estrus period. Knowing what to expect will help prepare you and your dog for any abnormal behaviors or problems during her heat cycle. As your pooch progresses through her cycle, you will notice these four stages:

Proestrus: Proestrus is the start of the heat period where your dog’s body is preparing to mate and averages about nine days, but can last from three to 17 days. Her v***a will swell and you may notice a blood-tinged discharge,1 but many dogs are fastidious about messes and will clean themselves before you notice. Your dog may also hold her tail close to her body and stick just as close to your side, displaying clingy behavior. At this stage of the heat cycle, your dog will attract males, but she will not be receptive to them and may become aggressive if they try to mount her

Estrus: The estrus phase is the mating phase and usually lasts around nine days, but can be as short as three or as long as 21 days. During this time, blood flow will lessen and then stop, but the discharge may change to a straw color. Female dogs will attract and accept males, with ovulation occurring two to three days after mating. You may notice your dog urinating more frequently and marking spots within and outside your home to spread pheromone messages indicating her readiness to breed. If an intact male is present, your female dog is likely to present herself to him, hindquarters first, and with her tail held to the side.

Diestrus: This phase occurs directly after the “in heat” stage and lasts for about two months. Her body will proceed with the pregnancy or return to rest, as her v***a returns to normal size and the vaginal discharge disappears.

Anestrus: Anestrus is the uterine repair phase,2 in which no sexual or hormonal behavior is present, and can last for anywhere from 90 to 150 days before the next proestrus stage begins.

How often should my puppy eat? Puppies should eat three times a day from weaning through four to six months, if possible. After six months, twice-a-day feedings are fine. But if you're not able to feed your pup three times a day, don't worry twice is still good.

My advice on dog market
1. Class . Just like nightclubs where u can find musimbodhiya costing $1 for 2 whilst some whisky wud go for hundreds , pliz don't scream ukaona prize yeGSD /Boer / Pit , just know that it's not your class . Wait for dogs that match your class to be posted and make a comment . Never also force yourself into a class above or lower than you , find yoz , if you are a layman and attempt to buy Pit /Boer beware to be more poorer with the passage of time ( a honda fit cost less to maintain compared to mercedes of whichever series). If you buy a low income earner dog wen u are wellup beware to have a useless dog according to your needs , unotora bhoki anoswera achiwetera muriwo ,kunanzva vana miromo nekubvarura mabin.
2. Know your needs , and that needs differ household to household . If u nid something that can make noise buy bhoki for $5 , if u need a pet then pump hundreds . Boer is not a noise maker , bhoki isn't a pet. So don't shout too cheap or too expensive , needs differ induvidual to individual .
3. Comparison . Don't compare prizes of different items (bar of soap VS 2kg of salt ) , saying soap it's expensive I wud rather buy salt , know that salt will never wash your dishes , you will need soap at last . Don't say I wud rather buy 2 cows than this GSD , do the cows bark ,do they snif to search , do they scare thieves, besides waurikuda kuudza kuti hausati watenga mombe ndiani , and that u buy cheap cow breeds .

There is true value in the genetics of your dog. The poor the genetics the less likely you are to enjoy a longer life span with your dog, diseases caused by mixing breeds amongst other things.

It is often asked when should dogs be dewormed. Our recomendation is that they should be dewormed every two weeks until twelve weeks of age, then monthly until six months of age. After six months all dogs need to be wormed every three months for effective protection.
