We don't often post photos of owls that have been killed, but every now and then we feel it's important to remind people the harm that rodent poisons cause. This beautiful Verreaux Eagle Owl that we attempted to rescue this afternoon leaves behind her mate and two owlets.
Rodenticides cause immeasurable damage to wildlife and contrary to whatever literature they have printed on the packaging, rat poison doesn't discriminate, it kills whatever consumes it.
