We welped the most gorgeous litter of mini shmoodles on the 6th June. The tri colour babies are girls. The solid colours white, brown and cream are boys.
Sorry the brown boy is sold but how cool looking is this litter!!
Dad is tiny moodle weighing 3.2kgs and mum is mini maltese shih Tzu weighing 4.7kgs. Parents dna tested amd clear of genetic diseases

Today was a huge day for big dogs in Port Augusta. I will put up some deshed videos and before and afters next.
We had 4 new dogs to bring into the family so welcome Chase the border collie and Coda the german shepherd, jewel the cute rescue and Alfie the shepherd cross

Port Pirie was a busy day and I totally forgot to take photos but my daughter got some of daisy-mae. She was nearly asleep by the end of the dryer time and was awell behaved girl for ger winter clip. Welcome to the spiffy Stinkers family Daisy

Public holiday washes. I didn't get a photo of the old boy kelpie we deshedded today as he was 14 yrs old and needed special care but he was an absolute gentleman.
Millie and Charlie hate their nails being cut but we are working on building their positive relationship with nail clippers.
Buster is aggressive to grooming so we are taking in week by week building up his trust and desensitising him to our tools after another groomer has ruined his experience.
Lucy and bonnie were enjoying their backyard holes they precisely dug for the owner so they were in great need of a whitening and a wash.
Miles enjoyed his warm bath while his mum had a moment of rest.
A great day building trust, patience and ling lasting relationships with more beautiful dogs

Napoleon also know as Noods, Naps and Noodle turned 13 yrs old!!! This dog has gone through so much including just finishing chemo for a bone cancer and so much more. Please wish Naps a very happy birthday.

This was me today chasing our little mini dashy puppies in my night gown looking the fool. Oh I love but they are looking for homes.

Meet Rozie. She's a pure-bred rottie and when we got the call for a dog groom we were advised she is dog reactive and they weren't sure how she would go.
We arrived and noticed Rozie was super friendly to humans but very cautious when leaving her yard. We had to lift her into the trailer and her bath was more of a bath for us as she jumped, growled, barked and lunged at the hose. So no high force dryer for her just a chamois towel rub down to make her feel like we were giving her big pats and alot of praise. 4 weeks later we were there again and a bag full of treats later Rozie jumped into the trailer and out and back in again with no issues. 4 weeeks later we started working on confidence around water now she trusted us. Doing this was command training 'leave it' and praise. She soon learnt the water wasn't hers to eat. We returned 4 weeks later and Rozie now a confident, sound and happy dog willingly let us in her yard to put a lead on her and walk out to the trailer where she works jump up and get a treat, jump into the bath for another treat and allow us to brush her all over, wash her and we slowly increased her tine qith the dryer on her. She is now happy to live off just praise and pats for her reward but she definitely gets her treats atthe end for being the outstanding dog she is.
We believe working with dogs in a positive way will help grooming become a normal routine in their life.

Yesterday was my day off but I was asked to cover a friend of mine grooming dogs while she went on a well deserved holiday. I met some wonderful people with stunning dogs. Unfortunately I totally forgot to take many photos. Thank you for trusting me with your dogs as I understand we get attached to our groomers

Boss has come a long way with positive reinforcement. His human first enquired for a nail clip which turned into 1 person treating him, 1 person blocking his view of his foot with a towel and the other clipping his nails. 2 works layer we came back for a pat and a jump in and out of the trailer for comfort. Now he is every 4 weeks and loves his baths, blow dryer and nails trimmed. He is a star and gets excited when he hears the car and trailer arrive.

Came home from Port Augusta with a new pet for the farm. A client had her in her backyard and asked if I wanted her for the farm....

Thank you for everyone's patience as we were busy this weekend at the 50th annual national german shepherd dog show supporting our daughter who won 1st place for showmanship and 6th for junior handler.
We also juggled the medieval fare in goomeracha where my other daughter was supporting a friend's stall.
I will be catching up to all missed and rescheduled bookings and making contact tonight and tomorrow to organise your bookings and find a suitable time for you all.

My daughter her first litter of mini dachshund puppies for her kennel. These 3 will be looking for forever homes also. The cream girl 8on the far side is ours to keep. The genetics in these dogs are phenomenal.
We are smitten with our babies
