I have been quite busy over the past few weeks responding to calls in our local area, a timely reminder to ensure you know what to do if you come in contact with a snake, and that you know the relevant first aid.

One thing that I recommend to everyone is to have a first aid kit in their home/car that has a snake bite bandage!

Helped move this baby Tiger Snake out of shed in Ararat.

Today I attended a callout to Pomonal to help out a gentleman who had snake in his lounge room. The snake was one of the thousands of wildlife displaced or injured by the fires.

It was harrowing to see the damage from the bushfires, my heart goes out to all those affected.

All those brave workers, residents and volunteers have done and are still doing incredible work.

With Melbourne temperatures set to reach 35°C for the next two days, help keep wildlife safe by putting out bowls of water and creating shady areas where possible.

Wildlife is particularly susceptible to high temperatures and during heatwaves animals may leave the safety of their nests or burrows in search of water. Late night Snake

We don't often get calls after dark, but last night this little brown snake was spotted by someone in Ararat going under their bin. Luckily I was able to quickly get there and safely relocate it for them.

Someone in Stawell had an unwanted door knocker today, he was politely declined entry and safely relocated elsewhere.

Have been pretty busy with the warm weather, mainly Tiger Snakes like this beautiful one caught in Wilaura, and a few Brown Snakes.

Lots of calls this week, I'm very thankful for all the support from people reccomending me and sharing my posts.

Just wanted to let everyone know I won't be available this weekend.

Here's a video of an Eastern Brown Snake I caught at a neighbours house in Ararat today. I think it was about 4 minutes from getting the call to bagging the snake, very lucky to be so close.

Here's a video of me checking her over to make sure there were no injuries before letting her disappear into the bush.

Caught this beautiful Tiger Snake at Greenhill Lake yesterday with help from Eyewatch - Northern Grampians Police Service Area.

He was sitting in a birds nest with a very full belly, so we moved him to a better spot for him to sleep off his meal.
