APPOINTMENTS LEFT FOR 2024

We currently have around a dozen appointments left for this year. Most of these are scattered throughout November, with 1 or 2 the first week of December. Please don't delay in securing your spot if you haven't already and these appointments are open to new clients.

APPOINTMENTS FOR 2025

I do have clients securing their regular spot throughout 2025. Please let me know if you would like me to do this, it works well if there is only certain days of the week that work for you.

GRASS SEED ALERT! It is quite early in the season to be finding grass seeds in dogs coats but we have come across 3 in this last week. Be vigilant checking over, especially if your dog has been running in long grass or recently slashed grass that was long and wild. These nasties come become very painful quickly and expensive to remove once inbedded.

Friday favourites on a Thursday... why? Well, because tomorrow is a day off for dog shows. The Southern Highlands has 5 dog shows being held Friday to Sunday here at New Berrima Sports Ground. I'll be showing in the Toy ring all 3 days, so if you pop down, come and say Hi! It is a great opportunity to meet breeders and research breeds if you are considering a pure bred puppy in the future.

So it's time to get serious about Spring and Summer. The phone is running as hot as the days are becoming (some days anyway 😜)

It's Christmas that catches us out, all of a sudden it's here and we didn't book the dog's grooming appointment. Well, here is a secret, Christmas appointments have been a thing here since taking Spring appointments back in July.

The bad news is December is almost booked out, as is October, with a handful left in November. The good news is, if you have been a regular all year I have probably reserved your pre Christmas groom. But if you aren't sure, check with me now before they are all gone for 2024.

December bookings are almost full and I want to make sure all our regulars have their appointments reserved until the end of year, before valued pre-christmas times are offered to new clients.

LETS TALK BATHROOM BREAKS IN THE GROOMING ROOM AKA THE "CLEAN UP ON AISLE 7"

Great, now I have your attention and hopefully gave you a chuckle. I'd like to post a reminder about the importance of toileting your dogs before they come to their appointment.

I have had an increase of dogs eliminating on the grooming table, in the bath, or in the crate while they wait. It is disruptive and unpleasant, (it happens - I get it) but I'm some cases, it can be somewhat preventable.

Please take them for the brisk walk if you haven't witnessed a bowl movement that morning, or arrive 10 mins early with your poo bags at the ready and take them for a walk around the block.

Unfortunately, I dont have the time to take every client for a "tour of duty" around our backyard before starting, and it also isn't fair to my own dogs to have a constant string of strangers marking and eliminating in their territory.

Accidents happen, and it is very natural for a dog to need to go as soon as it reaches "other dog" territory. But it would be awesome if everyone could give their dog a good opportunity to make any deposits before the appointment starts.

It's mohawk in the bath for this baby's first time in the tub. Our tiniest client yet, Frankie. He really is tiny with huge amounts of cuteness! Frankie came for a face and feet clip to keep him at his poodle best! And because it's hard to tell how tiny he is, the small bandana was folded in half to go around him.
