As humans, we would never consider going for a run in a pair of stilettos nor would we put on tight jeans to do an aerobics class, but often the same parallels in saddle fit for the horse are overlooked. Not only is saddle fit critical for the comfort of the horse, but it directly influences the horses performance, and the higher level of performance you expect from your horse, the more important
the saddle fit becomes. Undertaking numerous weeks of training under the watchful eye of Paula, the end goal is to complete the UK Society of Master Saddlers Course which cannot be undertaken without three years of mentoring by someone who already holds the qualification. The original Performance Saddlefits is owned by Paula Jeffery. Paula Jeffery, is a Registered Qualified Saddlefitters with the UK Society of Master Saddlers in Australia. Along with 2 other Saddlefitting Qualifications, Paula is a highly experienced rider and trainer; an EFA General Level 1 Coach, AHRC Level 1 Coach and Assessor, riding for 25 yrs and coaching for 18 yrs, with 7 years of those training and competing overseas in UK and Europe as a dressage rider at FEI level. Paula previously managed and owned Saddleworld Canberra for 8 years before closing the business after having her first baby in August 2012. She returned to saddlefitting and opened Performance Saddlefits as a mobile business to allow her to be a mum and enjoy her lifelong passion of helping horses and riders achieve their best.
