May is National Pet Month🐾

To finish off the month, last but not least meet Alvin!

Alvin was the Vet Nurses foster failure, with very good reason.
Alvin may appear to be a cat however... his favourite thing to do is PLAY FETCH😸 Being a ginger cat, he has many little perks, starting with, loves a belly rub, will lay in your arms until you have to move him, very vocal at dinner time and loves getting the zoomies 🥰

Bono is your typical Kimberley special, loves his walks, loves his cuddles (with his owners or cats!) and loves the beach🐶
Bono has been a great mentor for all of the Vet Nurses fosters, whether they are cats or dogs, his relaxed personality and good mannerism helps them keep comfortable and be well prepared for their new homes🥰

Joined at the hip since being adopted 3 years ago, these two get up to lots of mischief (like most cats!)
Jasper is definitely the boss of the pet family but always loves a cuddle from Zelda when things get tough, especially during thunderstorms 🥰

🐈CAT ENRICHMENT🐈

We often forget that our cats need enrichment as well as our dogs, by offering your cat enrichment you will be providing both mental stimulation and physical exercise, which will reduce the likelihood of your cat or kitten practicing destructive behaviours, as well as reducing stress and boredom.

One easy form of enrichment for your cat is FEEDING ENRICHMENT - this can be achieved by food puzzles, lick mats and treat dispensers. You can also achieve this by spreading treats along the floor or even hiding treats for your cat or kitten to find.

Other ways of providing your cat with enrichment are:
- Self-play toys
- Scratching posts
- Interactive toys - these can help strengthen the bond between you and your cat by letting you share fun and positive experiences
- Water fountains - can be fascinating to cats, and keep them entertained for hours
- Sound - try leaving a radio on when you are not at home or playing bird noises on your TV
