Labrador puppies
The puppies like watching Top Gear! Definitely true Labradors 😁
Hi Beaches Neighbours! Just a quick reminder that I still have a few vacancies available for pet care over the Christmas holiday period. With prices from just $20 per visit, each visit will include
* Feeding dog/s with food supplied (fresh meat can be kept at my home, in a dedicated pet food fridge freezer, if you don't have outdoor fridges)
* Changing drinking water
* Checking each dog to ensure that they are safe, healthy and well
* Administering any medication correctly
* Yard play or walking
* Daily pooh patrol and disposal
* Yard tidy if there's any damage or excessive mess
* Security check of the property
* Collecting mail
* Watering plants if required
Each day I'll send you text updates and photos so you know your pups are safe and well. In the event of an illness or injury, I'm Australian Red Cross Pet First Aid trained, so can provide immediate attention, but if it's something serious, I'll notify you immediately and can take the dog to the vet of your choice. I have a fully insured, side entry vehicle and provide a registered vet taxi and pet collection service
Thank you! 😃 mark@Doctor Dog 0401 392 967
This is an interesting case, and proof that a small amount of observation and dog psychology can go a long way. This little Jack Russell was not happy at all with the idea of going for a walk. He was extremely hyper, attacking his lead and pulling furiously in a very angry fashion. But when I offered him a treat, he stopped to eat it - then immediately went back to attacking the lead. This proved to me that he could control himself if he wanted to but he was fixated on the lead. So I swapped his red lead for one of my own black leads and he calmed down instantly. The little guy had developed a negative conditioned response, so his behaviour changed for the better once I'd identified the issue and removed the trigger.
Love my job! ❤️
dog whistle recall
Here's a little Staffy who's absolutely adorable but her mum and dad said it was nearly impossible to get her to break focus for recall. But with a bit of experimentation, she now loves the dog whistle and comes every time :-) (although we're still working on 'sit' when she's excited!)
Another happy puppy!
Mavis Update! I love when owners share their achievements with me, and here's a little movie of super-shy Mavis, overcoming her bashfulness to play with her new best friend, Norman. What a lovely girl, and I'm really looking forward to our next training session 🥰
Puppy Playtime!
Loki the gentleman and Lillibet the cheeky princess playing with the ball... I hear the soundtrack as "Gimme the ball Loki, gimme the ball!" "OK, Lillibet, you can have it" "I don't want it!" "Dad....! WTF?" 🤣
