Faith and she is keeping the faith that she will find her very own loving home soon.
Faith was found up on the Tablelands and after a week was brought into Yaps. She was posted as a found dog and we did receive a call from a gentleman saying she was born on his property but would wander off and then come back and then wander off again, she had no owner.
She is just the sweetest little girl and is seriously enjoying her time at Yaps interacting with all the staff and volunteers as well as meeting some fun canine friends to do zoomies around the yards.
All this girl wants is a family/home to call her own and in return you will have the best friend and companion ever...

1 year old Marlee a Maremma Sheepdog is on the lookout for a new home.
Marlee is a big boy who has very little training in his young life but he is a smart happy guy who will respond well to guidance and love.
For now he thinks he could be a lap dog or will put his front paws on your shoulders just so he can look you straight in the eye so that you can see how handsome he is!!
Marlee loves the water and at Yaps you will often see him relaxing in his pool
Maremma are a working breed and are not happy sitting around in a back yard all day so for anyone interested in this boy do your research on the breed so that you know what Marlee needs in his life.

These 2 big boys are still looking for a family to hang out with...
Hershey and Hewitt are almost 5 years old, a bonded pair and they are deaf but do not let the fact that they are deaf put you off. They are laid back, affectionate and playful when the mood strikes them. Brushes and ear scratches are very well accepted.

Staff member Clare took Rocco to the Summit of Earl Hill. He was commented on how well he walks on a lead and how well behaved he was.
They then stopped at the beach for some R & R, Rocco loves lazing in the shade of the trees on the sand.
Such a lovely boy to take on adventures.

A celebration of man’s best friend, and an exhibition of the best products and services for pets owners and those that care for animals. 🫶

This is a FREE community event with plenty of entertainment and activities for the 2-leggeds too. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Stalls include healthy snackos for your doggos, medicinal products, crafts, artworks and loads more pet related items.

Talk to the experts, get the latest information and advice, FREE samples, and specials deals from our event exhibitors.

There will be education on responsible pet ownership and adoption, as well as agility and training demonstrations and lots of fun and interactive activities for you and your good boi. 🐶

Support local animal welfare charities and rescue services, and win big in the YAPS monster raffle.

There will be plenty of tasty treats for the hoomans too, with a selection of food vans. 🌭🥙🍕🍦🍩🥤☕

APPLICATIONS CLOSED we have received many applications so will not be taking any more and will now start the process of going thru the ones we have received. Thank you everyone

Meet 17 month old Mr. Mischief (and that is by name only... well at least at this stage!!) He is a Shih Tzu x Dachshund
Mischief is a quiet, thoughtful guy who, once he gets to know you will smooch and happily show you his loving side. He is looking for a caring and compassionate home that will help build his confidence and understand he is a bit shy when meeting new people
He is non-reactive to other dogs and has enjoyed some play time in the exercise yards at Yaps with other smaller dogs.
Mischief does have a couple of requests of his new family....
Cats are a definite no, as he is not impressed whatsoever by them!!
A home with older children as he finds the smaller ones a bit intimidating.
Mischief is now available for adoption but will not be able to go to his new home until a few days after his desexing which is booked for August 20th

We love hearing about our x furkids and here is an update on Candy who was adopted a week ago

Hi Team,

Just wanted to update you on Candy - We have renamed her Evie and she is wonderful! Absolutely a sweetheart and is getting along with our cats beautifully. She's beginning to come out of her shell and starting to play and get the zoomies around our yard. She's a quiet girl and we're yet to hear her bark however is so super excited to see us even if we're just taking the bin out! We are exceptionally happy with her and would like to say thank you to all the members of the team who do such an amazing job taking care of the little treasures that come your way.

Check out these 2 one year old cuties...Sasha and Seb. They are a Staffy X who are about a year old so are fully grown and now weighing around the 12 kg mark so only a smaller dog.
These 2 have not experienced much in life so all is new to them now but they are handling it like a couple of pros, they just need someone to love and guide them on their way.

Bailey had some beach time with staff member Carissa and did she have fun or what!!
She said Bailey was brilliant, absolutely fantastic on the lead and would make a real cracker of a dog with some obedience training.
