Relaxing time, with friends!
We recently attended the Atherton Tableland Kennel Club's 50th Anniversary Show on 13.7.24.
The Club had done an amazing job of organising the weekend of shows, including a huge anniversary cake.
Topaz won Best in the Terrier Group, plus Puppy in Show, under Mrs Pam Brown[Qld], a Bull Terrier Specialist judge. We were thrilled with the wins, despite the small number of entries.
We're very proud of Arnie [IFDAWN INCY DARK MOON].
Growing up in a household of Malinois. Not wanting to be left behind, he started training from a puppy. He is energetic & loves to work!
Arnie has competed in jumping,& has achieved his Jumping Novice Title.
He is also competing in Scent Work, a detection type of sport. Having attained his Novice & Advanced Titles very quickly.
This year Arnie is competing in the Excellent class, a definite step up.
Arnie has also started competing in Tricks, & it won't be long before he has a Tricks Starters Title to his name.
What a cracker of a little dog!
Every day events, in the lives of our 'minis'.
Bits n Pieces. Some recent shots of the crew.
With our 'winter', especially this year, the crew are quick to take advantage of any sun!😀
Suki enjoying life with her wonderful family.
This Princess loves being pampered & waited upon. 😍
We had a combined long weekend of Cairns City Kennel Club & Mareeba Kennel Club shows, held in Cairns.
Topaz was entered in 5 of them, receiving 4 Minor Puppy in Group awards & 1 Minor Puppy in Show award.
Her enthusiasm & energy never waned for the entire weekend!
A big thankyou for the clubs efforts for making the weekend such an enjoyable event. Even the weather wasn't too bad!!
Thankyou too, to my friends for their company, & Andrea's assistance in showing Topaz.
Out and about with our beloved companions!
A few casual shots, showing how adaptable our dogs are to various situations! 😍
Some fun photos over Easter, & the National Bull Terrier Day.
I hope everyone had an enjoyable time with family & friends, despite the weather.
I must admit,I was caught out on the National Bull Terrier Day on 1st April.!
[I wasn't sure if it was an April Fools trick, but apparently it's correct!]
Coffee break!
A beautiful morning at Trinity Beach Esplanade this morning. The sun was shining & there was a cool breeze.
The little coffee shop serves very nice coffee & iced coffees.
We choose 2 of our dogs to accompany us. This is always difficult, as everyone wants to come!
A few recent shots of our breed. They love company of their human families, but can also become attached to their own kind.
Some times other animals or birds become their best pals.
The sun is out!!
Coconut wrestling & trancing, whilst the rain has eased off!
They turned 3 yesterday.
Pablo being the only boy, with 5 sisters!
A few shots of our unique breed, in action, or not in action!!
Topaz loved her Puppy Foundation class, being full of enthusiasm, sometimes being a bit over the top!!
Sleeping is high on the agenda! Toys can be loved or end up in a snowstorm. Our 'Queen' Monroe, still has her 'Puddy Tat' pillow from a baby puppy, & she is now over 13 years old.
Topaz has been attending Puppy Classes at the Cairns Canine Academy with Andrea.
It's quite a challenge, as Topaz has only one speed, & that's top gear, plus she is very excitable! [enthusiastic?]
Fortunately Andrea is experienced in training this breed, so between Topaz & myself, we're slowly progressing!!
Recent photos in our beautiful part of the world, despite the 'wet season' in full swing!!
Happy Australia Day! 🇳🇿❤️
Bits n pieces from over the Christmas & New Year break.
Wishing everyone a great New Year!😀
Today is 'Queen' Monroe's 13th Birthday. A very special member of our family.
The matriarch still plays like a pup, every evening with the young ones!
She has her own agenda on everything, & all of the household bow to 'Queen Monroe' demands! We would not have it any other way! 😍
Wishing everyone an enjoyable Christmas, despite the terrible floods in North Queensland. We were fortunate, but some have lost their homes & or their possessions.
We recently celebrated Nelson's 10th birthday. He enjoyed a chicken schnitzel burger. Take note, not his usual diet!
Another celebration, took place, when Arnie was featured on the 2023 Dogs Sports Title Board, for his Scent Work Advanced Title. He also featured in last years Title Board. This is done through the Cairns City Kennel Club, by one of its members.
Suki, a much loved family member, enjoying a snuggle with her companion.
We had a lovely gathering of the IFDAWN 'mini bulls' this morning, at Palm Cove. We first met up in July, & it was so successful, we decided to do it again!
Here are just few photos of the 7 adult dogs & 2 puppies that came along.
A mention must be made of the top temperament of all of the dogs. There were 4 mature male dogs, with only 1 of them being desexed. The females & the puppies all mixed together, with the males, without any problems.
My apologies for not having photos of all of the clan, especially Angus, Pablo & of course Ginger!
Around the traps.
The year is coming to a close, & the final Scent Work competitions were held over the last weekend.
Arnie started in his first 'Excellent' trial, having begun in 'Novice' last year. He gained a 'qual'[qualification] in Excellent Containers. I was thrilled to watch him go through his paces, as I was the Time keeper for Sunday's trials.
Watch out for Arnie & his handler, Andrea, next season!
Some other photos of the 'gang' doing less exciting things, like sharing bananas & snoozing!!
A break from puppy photos! I hope you'll like them!
Behind the scenes!
A lot goes on behind the scenes. These photos will show you how our family operates on a daily basis.
Our dogs are all friends with each other, & when a litter comes along, all help out with the general running of the household.
Time is slipping by, & the puppies are nearly 6 weeks old.
The puppies have been weaned, although Jamaica would be happy to still feed them, despite their 'land shark teeth'!
The little boy, Onyx, is available to a loving family home. Preference would be given to a family in the Cairns ,Qld., area.
Angus & Jamaica's puppies are nearly 4 weeks old.
In between sleeping, they love to play & test out their sharp little teeth on each other, & also their mother!!
It won't be long, before solid food is introduced to their diet.
Jamaica & her puppies continue to thrive. They're nearly 3 weeks old now.
The puppies eyes & ears opened from Day 12, they now interact with Jamaica & each other. The first little bark is cute!
It is always lovely to watch them grow, day by day!
We are proud to announce that Angus & Jamaica have 3 lovely puppies, which are 2 weeks old today.
Jamaica is an EXCELLENT mother, & the puppies are little 'fatties'!!
Warning!! Be prepared for puppy spam!
