My interest in astrology started early. I remember reading a feature in a magazine when i was 12 that sparked my curiosity. The symbols and attributes of the signs were fascinating. I also discovered Chinese Astrology and was excited to discover I was born in the year of the Dragon - a marvellous mythical creature. I started my Reiki journey in 1995 when I did a Reiki 1 workshop, followed by Reiki 2 the next year. I became a Usui Reiki Master in 2004, although I didn’t start teaching until 2018. Welcome to the annular solar eclipse, exact at 8:53pm in Eastern Australia. A halo effect will be visible (but not here), as the Moon will appear slightly smaller than the Sun. This eclipse is conjunct both the lunar North node and retrograde Mercury. What was released at the recent lunar eclipse has left a clear space in the mind for a new beginning that will be very important for your personal future, and which we will all be creating as part of our collective future. The ring of fire or halo connects us to our divine purpose, despite the overlay of darkness. The message as I see it is to focus on the highest possibilities, to be clear about what you use your mental energy to create and to envision a new and brighter future for yourself and the world. Take some time to meditate and imagine what may once have seemed impossible. Because the other major contact of this amazing New Moon is a trine to Neptune in Pisces - planet of imagination and spiritual illumination. Let's imagine a brilliant future together.

The soundtrack to tonight's Full Moon Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 5 degrees Sagittarius would of course be 'I want to break free' by Queen. Why? Because this eclipse is such a major opportunity to free ourselves, individually and collectively, from outdated belief systems and old ways of thinking. At present the Moon's nodes are in Gemini (North node) and Sagittarius (South node). The South node is our past, what we need to release in order to grow. Sagittarius is the sign of the higher mind, beliefs and how we make our lives meaningful.
At this Full Moon with the Sun in Gemini opposite the Moon, we are all being given an opportunity to embrace new ideas and to learn new ways of relating and communicating, free from restrictive belief systems that no longer serve us.
So as you view the magnificent eclipse allow yourself to sing along and see where you need to break free, in order to be embracing a higher truth that can open the doors to a new and brighter future.
Because there's another eclipse coming next month - the New Moon Solar eclipse and our new directions will be clearer then....

"This prayer was given to me some years back to be able to connect back into the consciousness of Mother Earth. If you create in union with Mother Earth the potential will be unlimited.

Prayer to Mother Earth
I am the source of all light.
I have walked this Earth in limitation, now as the Mother reaches out
I embrace her love and accept my rightful place within her care.
I honour her and the gifts that she provides for my soul.
I accept her love that runs through my veins.
I accept her essence as she breathes life into my physical body.
I acknowledge my own worthiness of this gift, as I acknowledge the Mothers worthiness of my return to truth.
I now stand in the full light of my soul in total union with the Mothers love.
I accept her support and her care, and I honour her receptive will and desire for Peace.
