I never thought I’d be writing this post.

It’s with great sadness that 4Paws has now permanently closed its doors at 7661 Channel Highway. I’d like to thank all my customers over the years for your continued support with 4Paws.

From our small beginnings at the back of my beloved old house at 16 Connors Rd to the dream of building the new 4Paws Salon on Channel Highway Cygnet. You all, with your dogs made 4Paws what it was with me, Thank You!

There’s been a lot of hard work but many giggles even dancing along the way, there’s been tears as well, but we got there, we did it!

Id like to think we together helped our dogs on their grooming journeys with kindness! I’d also like to think that somewhere on the journey l helped make a difference in some dogs lives by my approaches to try make grooming least scary and more secure and fun.

Personally what l’ll most take with me throughout everything of my journey with 4Paws is the extraordinary friendships l’ve made with you all and your dogs along the way, it’s been an honour. Thank you for making me the groomer l am today, you’ve all given me something to take along on my next journey.

I’d particularly like to thank my bathers over the years, without you l never could have achieved what l did in 4Paws, you held me up some days and still continue to do so. ❤️

May Christmas bring you all safe and loving times with those you love and may you continue to hug those beautiful dogs a little tighter each night.

I’m sure l’ll see some of you soon, you never know where l might pop up smiling and greeting your best friend again with a big smile and cuddle.

I loved you from the moment l met you Riki.

The giggles and special talks we’ve had make me smile, you were so expressive on your needs. l remember being directed by bark that my lunch was most important and must be shared with you! l didn’t mind, marmite and cheese sandwiches shared with another make the best of friendships!

May your wings be just as golden and magnificent as you were as you learn to fly my love.

Ever wondered what halfway through a groom looks like? It’s all about the preparation! Dory, the plucky, forgetful blue fish, who taught us all, in the face of adversity, to "just keep swimming."

Just keep swimming with your dogs every day by just brushing them, even if it’s just 5 mins a day with your coffee in the morning whist you both share toast! They will love you for it!

Hunter is a true gentleman whom l adore, l would love to help see Hunter complete his journey with someone in the 4Paws circle, l want to help him with this, please contact me for more information ❤️

Hunter is an 8yo Kelpie X who came to another 4Paws family nearly two years ago. He was happy there when their other dog was alive and pottering around with her but he has been escaping for the life of an adventurer ever since she passed away.
Unlike most Kelpies he’s not keen on chasing a ball or going for runs. He would prefer to be cuddled and to sit by someone most of the day or find a sunny spot for a nap. He loves walks at the beach and says hello to every human he passes.
He loves people and kids and has always been great around other dogs. He will herd our chooks back in to their run if they venture too far but is otherwise very tolerant of them.
They keep him inside at night as his impulse is to chase a wallaby or possum if he sees one. They don’t know how he’d go head to head with a possum but they suspect the possum would walk away without a scratch!
Hunter is very food motivated and has all his basic commands down pat. He sleeps inside all night no problem and when he first came to the family he was trained to sleep in a crate.
He used to be great on a lead but since coming to their property they haven’t walked him on lead regularly so he would need to have some re training.
Zero health issues apart from needing his weight managed.
He has a lovely nature and very sweet personality. He needs a well fenced home where he would get the love and affection he craves and deserves.
