Minibrae Dogstayz has been at our new property at Dyers Crossing for 10 weeks now. Lots of hard work has the new driveway, no longer need to drive thru a paddock 🥴. New shed, hopefully GroomDayz will be up and running by Christmas once power and water is connected there. Countless skips of rubbish removed and now great new fencing 😃.
Still a work in progress with the lovely old farmhouse, fingers crossed all will be completed in a 12 month time frame. All the wonderful boarders so far love there new furbaby digs. Look forward to seeing you!

Minibrae GroomDayz is still several months away from welcoming back clients. Infrastructure still continues. Stay tuned for re-start 😃

08/05/2024

Minibrae is moving to Dyers Crossing in June 2024. Bookings for Dogstayz or GroomDayz will not be available until the 1st of August to allow for infrastructure to be undertaken. We will then still be offering exactly the same service and care. Look forward to seeing you then 🙂🐶

Thank you to the owners of Beautiful Old Chester who have let me know he sadly passed away on Monday. One of my favourite boarders.
R.I.P sweet boy. Little Benson will miss you as will I. Love and hugs to his owners at this sad time. 🥹

❌ PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN THE SHOPS ❌

Just a little warning regarding the Xmas treat many stores are now starting to stock for dogs at xmas.

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas.

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.
On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking.
The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Leave them in the shop where they belong or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away for later, then dispatch in the bin!

Please be safe with your dogs!

Ever wonder what is in your pets food???!!!

A couple has a dog that snores.

Annoyed because she can’t sleep, the wife goes to the vet to see if he can help.
The vet tells the woman to tie a ribbon around the dog’s testicles and he will stop snoring.
“Yeah, right!” she says.
A few minutes after going to bed, the dog begins snoring, as usual.
The wife tosses and turns, unable to sleep.
Muttering to herself, she goes to the closet and grabs a piece of red ribbon and ties it carefully around the dog’s testicles.
Sure enough, the dog stops snoring!
Later that night, her husband returns home drunk from being out drinking with his buddies.
He climbs into bed, falls asleep and begins snoring loudly.
The woman thinks maybe the ribbon might work on him
She goes to the closet again, grabs a piece of blue ribbon and ties it around her husband’s testicles.
Amazingly, it also works on him! The woman sleeps soundly.
He wakes from his drunken stupor and stumbles into the bathroom.
As he stands in front of the toilet, he glances in the mirror and sees a blue ribbon attached to his privates.
He is very confused and, as he walks back into the bedroom, he sees the red ribbon attached to his dog’s testicles.
He shakes his head and looks at the dog and whispers,
“I don’t know where we were, or what we did, but by Crikey, we took first and second place!”

Our Story

We do things differently here - no kennels, no fear, no darkness, no noisy neighbours. It really can be a terrifying experience for your four legged friends being thrown into noisy, smelly kennels with little human interaction. Here the dogs stay inside with the family, needless to say, your pet needs to be already house trained. However for puppies and older companions that may be incontinent they can be crated over night (inside) to avoid accidents.

  • Yes you can bring your own food (preferred) (boarding rate reduced by $5.00 per day)

  • Yes you can bring your own bedding, please have it freshly laundered before arrival
