The ESDC AGM date will be announced soon but being a very small club, we are always looking for new members. If you’re interested in lending a hand at a trial and like watching the dogs or you are a thinking about getting a dog and having a go then send the page a message!
Currently we only run one trial per year but I want to look into holding a second one at a local farm somewhere and running beginner sheepdog training days once we get a bit more equipment.
Sheep availability is one of the major obstacles to running sheepdog trials these days and over the years the Freeland family have been unbelievable with the loan of their sheep over the past 20 years or so, we can’t thank them enough and also a big thanks to the few local people who don’t even have much interest in trialling who help out every year.

Just a reminder that Exeter trial entries close this Friday.
Due to the removal of the old club rooms and canteen, we will be using the kitchen facilities over in the far corner next to the mower shop.

The sheep have been confirmed and December 2nd and 3rd are the trial dates for our 2023 trial.

We are less than 4 weeks away from hosting this National annual event in Tasmania! With the recent TV success of ABC's Muster Dogs, this is the must see event to witness in person Australia's Best Working Kelpies in their element!

Great news 🤞

A re-elected majority Liberal Government will help transform an important community gathering space for the Exeter community.
Funding of $735,000 will help build a new Sports and Recreation Centre on the existing site of the Exeter Show.
Not only will the new Centre secure the Show's future, it will secure its role as a hub for the region's sporting and community groups.
More than 120 children train at the showgrounds each week as part of the Tamar Valley Junior Football Club.
The Exeter Cricket Club has been using the ground for more than 100 years, with the Exeter Art Studios, West Tamar Municipal Band and Exeter Sheep Dog Club just a few of the other community groups that use the Centre on a regular basis.
A majority Gutwein Liberal Government is committed to supporting and investing in our regional communities and this commitment I know will be welcomed.
