Many of you will know the little buckskin pony that Sarah rode in the early days from when she was 6 years old, well what a champion pony and team they made, and many young equestrians have benefitted with this unicorn. I am so proud to have contributed to this story in the upcoming horsedeals July. ❤️ she is still winning with her latest little rider at the Geelong royal show aged 32 now.

A weekend of adventures for Minnie with Rochelle taking the reins. A bit of jumping at the indoor at gracemere and a day at a local sporting day getting some exposure. a first in one of the jumps, and some nice relaxing trotting through the next days of activities. Always looking amazing.

Coming to the market 🦄

MG is a sweet off-the-track Mare, 6 years old approx 16.1hh. Retired sound from racing in June 2022, I purchased her to begin her retraining process. She has had some months to spell and has been brought back into work at a no-stress pace.

We have worked on flatwork/dressage basics including change of direction, collection, transitions and leg yielding. She has begun training over jumps and has taken to it very competently and confidently. She seems to enjoy jumping and has had 1 competition day out where she successfully completed all rounds (50 / 60cm) with no indication of wanting to stop or avoid obstacles.

MG has shown no dirt. Since arriving on day 1 there have been no signs of buck/ bite/bolt/rear/ kick. She is respectful on the ground and great to lead and handle. She is also an absolute pleasure to float, shoe, groom, catch and fuss over.

Her outings so far have included indoor arena jump clinic, trail ride – roadside, jumping competition, beach ride – all no fuss. It is worth noting as well that at home she has seen everything from bikes, cars, mowers, trucks, slashers, cranes, dogs, etc.

Imperfections; Scar on her face halfway down the blaze. Slightly pigeon toed.

I think a cooler climate would suit her better or at least somewhere with less ‘bities’. Will be sold to a knowledgeable home only as she deserves the best life and someone to continue her training in whatever their chosen discipline.

When you don’t have a farrier on call , it’s nice to have your horses accept and stand quietly for a pedicure, mine are barefoot and Nova has never been disadvantaged on wet grounds and no studs, usually better for not having.
