Ohhhh Shelley!!! Will so miss your forever happy voice!

After 13 incredible years, we’re sadly saying goodbye to our amazing colleague and friend, Michelle. ♥♥

Her dedication, hard work, and unwavering passion has been an essential part of our journey at The Equine Practice. Her professionalism and kindness has certainly left a mark on us all.

Michelle will forever hold a special place not only in our hearts, but in the hearts of many of our clients as well. We wish Michelle a world of success and joy in her new chapter 🌟

MOVIE STAR! What great genes he has!

How versatile are his offspring !!
After winning the DWTS 4- 5 yr old Rising Star award and then placing in the 4 year old final 2 years ago…
Pride ( Broadway Star ) has turned his hoof at a bit of jumping…
And who better then to nurture him then Bronwyn Harvey.

I thought I knew he’d be a dressage star, But now with him jumping so clean and brave…

What does one do with perfect allrounder?

I guess we’ll have a crack at the Performance Pony at DWTS?

Pride enjoys his work and Bronny loves riding him so regardless I’m sure they’ll have fun!

His full sibling yearling c**t is available and exactly like him … down to the white socks.

Broadway Star ( Movie Star over Rothwell Mysterious Ways)
So Pride has placed at DWTS, won the National 4-5 yr old led pony most suitable for dressage … and now he’s a Showjumping, no bridle, kids riding pony.
I’m so proud to have bred him, had a couple of sits on him after Felicity backed him, watched Flick place with him at DWTS… and now I get to watch my little gun jumping.
When Bronwyn told me how athletic, clever, brave … and CLEVER he was…
I just love this little horse💛💛 💛

Visited my GRP foal Kimba for the first time yesterday .
So much depth of breeding .. on his mothers side, Glitter Rock ( Golden Rock and Fidertanz / DeNiro) and his father Daily Dancer owned by Tina Barker ( Dornik B etc etc ) I suck at listing breeding lol.

Beautiful looking chunky, but leggy cremello c**t, pretty face and 💙eyes…
Photos just don’t do him justice.

TO Daily Dancer, A palomino( dunalino) imported GRP stallion by Dornik B, out of SPS Mirca who was by Miraculix….

So what did we get?

We got a stunning CREMELLO C**T.

How did she land it?!

Esther Martha Stace was an Australian equestrian. She first competed in an event in 1891 at the age of 20, where she tied for first place. She continued to compete until within a few years of her death in 1918. She always rode sidesaddle, and wore a scarlet plush outfit in competitions. In 1915 she set a sidesaddle high jump record of 6 feet 6 inches which would stand for 98 years, until 2013.

Broadway Star went sand dancing at Boneo yesterday … his first event since DWTS last year due to some human health problems.
He’s such a sparkly pony, placed in his first test and was a little too sparkly in his second test 💫

Merry Christmas from Broadway Park to all our friends, clients and support crew. Due to some health problems - some? LOTS! It’s been a quiet year for me. I have noticed it’s been a quiet year for most people so hopefully I haven’t missed much.
One thing I didn’t miss was breeding and owning the DWTS winner of the Rising Star 3/4 yr old!
Love my Broadway Star so much … can’t wait to see Felicity out competing on him again.

Read , let it sink in, then read again :

“No. 1. Get your tack and equipment just right, and then forget about it and concentrate on the horse.

No. 2. The horse is bigger than you are, and it should carry you. The quieter you sit, the easier this will be for the horse.

No. 3. The horse's engine is in the rear. Thus, you must ride your horse from behind, and not focus on the forehand simply because you can see it.

No. 4. It takes two to pull. Don't pull. Push.

No. 5. For your horse to be keen but submissive, it must be calm, straight and forward.

No. 6. When the horse isn`t straight, the hollow side is the difficult side.

No. 7. The inside rein controls the bending, the outside rein controls the speed.

No. 8. Never rest your hands on the horse's mouth. You make a contract with it: "You carry your head and I'll carry my hands."

No. 10. Once you've used an aid, put it back.

No. 11. You can exaggerate every virtue into a defect.

No. 12. Always carry a stick, then you will seldom need it.

No. 13. If you`ve given something a fair trial, and it still doesn't work, try something else—even the opposite.

No. 14. Know when to start and when to stop. Know when to resist and when to reward.

No. 15. If you're going to have a fight, you pick the time and place.

No. 20. Never give up until the rail hits the ground.

No. 21. Young horses are like children—give them a lot of love, but don't let them get away with anything.

No. 22. In practice, do things as perfectly as you can; in competition, do what you have to do.

No. 23. Never fight the oats.

Fantastic week end at Wandin Park International Horse Trials. We were excited to be sponsoring some xc jumps - and what jumps they were!

I know I’m short but they were very BIG jumps, and it was amazing watching them being conquered in the 4*.

Wandin Park put on a wonderful event … an amazing amount of organisation and just plain old hard work goes into an event of this standard.
Broadway Park Equestrian Centre is just opposite Wandin Park so we get to see just how much work does go in to setting up for our great sport.

Izzy and Pride (Broadway Star) have both grown up a lot in the last 4 years.
Broadway Park are excited for Izzy Morse and her beautiful grey mare Broadway Diamond Diva to be competing in their first EA Horse Trials at Wandin this week end.

Phew a loooong day today at Werribee for the ASPR Dressage Competition with Broadway Star. His second
event and this time he had shoes on!
First Test another DWTS Qualifying score!!
Second test … Pride kinda ran outa gas, poor little guy.
Thank you Felicity Siddle for riding him like he’s yours and with his future in mind.
