Dear Loyal Customers & Friends
As the owner of Foxy Furs Pet Grooming I would like to to inform you that we are still operating and open at 72 Torquay Rd, Pialba. Contrary to what some of our customer have been informed that we have closed and have opened as a mobile grooming service is untrue.
It will be seven years since Lisa, my daughter passed away, and if you don't know owned and operated Foxy Furs very successfully before her tragic death in 2008.
In the seven years I have kept this salon opened as a mark of respect for Lisa. Foxy Furs will continue to operate and be delighted to groom your little and big furry friends with a new management team.

My Mum was a bit worried about my trip to the groomers today.
So the Groomers took photos of my day getting pampered and having belly rubs.
I wasn't too keen hoping on the table so Bek groomed me where i was comfortable. =)

Foxy Furs will be shut tomorrow in our Hervey Bay salon - Saturday 14-6-14 as a mark of respect to this wonderful woman, whose life was taken so soon.
To all of you whom didn't know, Lisa is the founder of Foxy Furs Foxy Furs Pet Grooming Hervey Bay - 41940494, and her spirit lives on through out the three Foxy Furs stores. Lisa would be proud of her mother Rosie's achievements of keeping her dream alive... R.I.P Lisa - 15/12/74 - 14/6/08

Foxy furs will take every precaution necessary to prevent this from further spreading and that includes sanitising all beds before and after you're pets visit.
Please make sure vaccinations are all up to date.

~PET HEALTH ALERT~CANINE DISTEMPER OUTBREAK~HERVEY BAY~

We have received information from a local vet today to say that they have had a confirmed case of Distemper with 2 more possible cases. Distemper has not been seen in this area for quite some time. Canine distemper is a virus that affects a dog’s respiratory, gastrointestinal and central nervous systems, as well as the conjunctival membranes of the eye.

Please make sure your dog (dogs) are up to date with the correct vaccinations..

The first signs of canine distemper include sneezing, coughing and thick mucus coming from the eyes and nose. Fever, lethargy, sudden vomiting and diarrhea, depression and/or loss of appetite are also symptoms of the virus.

The virus is passed from dog to dog through direct contact with fresh urine, blood or saliva. Sneezing, coughing and sharing food and water bowls are all possible ways for the virus to be passed on.

If you dog received his/her injection by a accredited veterinarian in the last 12 months, he/she is fully protected. Distemper is included in any dog vaccination protocol of any vet clinic.
If you are not sure about your dog vaccination status or you have any concerns please consult your vet.ASAP.

We at foxy furs will only use one as a LAST resort. (And if severe damage to us could be caused without one)
We like to think the dogs don't intentionally want to bite us, there just scared and those things just make the behaviour and fear worsen! I like to give them a few chances with some kisses, cuddles and treats before I'll even consider it. We've always got time to make our clients feel safe and secure. 9 times out of 10 that will settle them down on its own. :)
