So I would like to welcome Ben Marold to the Downtime team. Ben is commencing his 2nd trade as a diesel mechanic with us. First day was today and he has been thrown into the deep end 😜. Under guidance of course teaching him the importance of attention to detail and correct procedures. First day on the job and he's carrying out angle torque tensions on the rear time gears of this Mack MP10. Great job mate 👍

Excessive movement was found on the input shaft of the front diff in this Kenworth T950. Common signs of failing components is excessive oil leaks and burnt oil. Thankfully we caught this one in time before she went bang💥. Teaming up with Stoddys Mobile Mechanical to help get this big girl back on the road 👨🏻‍🔧. Thanks Stoddy 💪

One of today's jobs was to give the top end a tweek up on this old girl 🔧🔩🔧 Nothing like a Volvo D13a to get the blood pumping😜 no emissions controls on this bad boy and still manages to pump out 540hp from a 13ltr engine.

What a surprise it has been getting off the plane on Monday not knowing what I will be working on to find my self pulling down a cu**in E5 engine and replacing the head gasket 😀. 40hrs later it is all back together running and ready to haul dirt back out on the mine.
A very warm welcome from the YBE workshop team it has been a pleasure working for them.
