Nell, the sweet Australian Kelpie, present to the clinic recently with a very small puncture wound that was oozing discharge near her eye.๐๏ธ It was decided that exploratory surgery was needed to find the cause. Nell's procedure revealed a large splinter that had very luckily missed her eye, but had been hidden well beneath the skin!๐ The splinter was removed, the site flushed and stitched, and Nell is now recovered and back to her normal self! We hope you continue to stay out of trouble Nell ๐ป

Taggart was rushed into the clinic after-hours, when he got himself into a sticky situation.... Taggart had been getting pampered in the bathtub when he got his toe stuck down the drain!๐งผ๐งฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ Upon arrival to the clinic, Taggart was swiftly sedated, and an angle grinder was needed to remove the drain grate from around his toe! ๐ Luckily, Taggart was able to escape the ordeal with only some soft tissue swelling and a small graze.๐ฅนWe hope you stay out of trouble Taggart, while you soak up your next #selfcaresunday ๐น๐

Meet the brave Rafferty! Raff had been holidaying around the Merimbula area recently.๐ Upon returning home, Raff started vomiting and didn't seem like his normal self. Raff's owner rushed him into the clinic as he started to decline. Upon examining Raff, and getting a clinical history from his owner, a paralysis tick was found buried in Raff's neck! ๐Raff was admitted to hospital and started on life-saving tick antiserum.๐ฉบ๐ He improved slowly but steadily over the passing days until he was well enough to be cared for at home. Raff left the clinic sporting a radical new 'do'! โ๏ธHis coat was clipped to ensure there were no more ticks hiding amongst his coat! You're one lucky boy Raff ๐คฉ

Meet Buddy! Buddy recently visited us, quite sore, thanks to some grass seeds that had made themselves at home on the inside of his upper arm ๐๐ฟ After being sedated, we were able to remove 4 more grass seeds that were deeply embedded - 2 in the epidermis, one in the dermis & one deep down in the subcutaneous layer! Buddy (who enjoyed his drugs ๐น๐) has recovered well ๐พ๐ถ๐ป
