Following on from our successful clinic held in July, we have another day organised with coach Dezi Roos.

Working Equitation Competition on 15th September is open on Nominate. $40 + Facility Fee.

The dressage levels don't quite line up with EA so perhaps have a look on ANWE website to famiarise yourself with the expectations. Tests are in 40 x 20 arenas.

Heads up to club members that tomorrow MARC's first Working Equitation competition will be up on Nominate.

This is an official competition so riders must be a member of ANWE to compete. If you want to compete, get onto nominate and join ANWE. Instructions and link were in a recent post on this page.

The state Working Equitation Championships are on at Nanango end of the month, so here's a chance for riders to get a hit out before hitting the big league!

WORKING EQUITATION: MARC is now affiliated with Australian National Working Equitation Ltd.
There will be more details in the club newsletter regarding uniform etc., but in order to compete in official events, individuals need to be a member of ANWE. The year runs 1/7 to 30/6 and costs individuals $30 per year.

Membership of MARC alone does not qualify people to compete in official ANWE competitions.

Maryborough Active Riders Club Inc star dressage championships are done and dusted for 2024

Thank you to all who competed, and thank you for the competitor who spoke at presentations recognising how hard it is for regional clubs to stay viable.

There are SO many people to thank that it's dangerous to start naming names at the risk of leaving someone off.

The dressage sub committee wants to recognise that these events cannot function without sponsors, many of who are local small businesses who have a spouse, child or employee that has ties with the club and there probably isn't all that much in it for them. That's why we push so hard for competitors to contact their class sponsors to say thank you.

So many helpers! Judges, pencillers, stewards, TDs,gear checkers, scorers, first aid officials,ring set up and pull down, gifts and donations for raffle and prizes. Thank you to caterers and photographers. And there are undoubtedly some jobs done that are missed in the above list.

As always, there will be a debrief about what worked and what can be improved on.

We saw a lot of smiling faces at presentations. There are some lovely horses around. Enjoy!Thank you.

Freestyle tests are starting at 5pm and there will be cheese platters and wine on offer.

Next weekend is the Fraser Coast ☆ Dressage Championships. 10th and 11th August. The following roles need to be filled

1. 2 x Pencillers on Saturday. 12 40 to 1.30pm
2. Judge feeders! Need orders taken for morning (and maybe afternoon) breaks. Involves taking orders, passing those onto caterers and then delivering same to the 3 rings.

The Fraser Coast Star Dressage Championships are over a week away, but organisers are busy collating the draw and sorting out the ribbons, sashes and prizes.

A big weekend of MARC events done and dusted.
Thank you to all our club members who helped with the dressage training day yesterday and/or poles clinic today.
