Mornings with this boy rock. This photo is from last week, but my gosh he nailed his session today. His humans are working very hard on building his confidence and teaching him some beautiful on-leash manners. He didn't bark at a single dog today, instead he only had eyes for his owner. They make a great team, well done Koa & Jaime!

We're back!

I'm stoked to finally be allowed back to training, its such a relief! Folks waiting for a space will be contacted over the next few days to book.

I will also update everyone on what our consults and services will look like going forwards, though this will likely be front-of-home training and contact free walks.

I'm excited to post updates from life in the past few months, from our training with Auri to the many things learned from my new full time job with Canine Nutrition! I'm keen to get Mannered Mutts rolling again after time to recharge 😊

Koa's confidence has come a mile since I first met him, today I'm glowing with pride! He feels comfortable exploring new environments and interacting with them. Today he didn't even break his drop position when a horse (yes, a proper horse!) walked down the path with its handler. Let's see what comes next for him!

Hades was such a fun boy to teach in our consult today. He started learning how to relax on his bed so he can become a regular at the local Cafe. We also worked on a few foundation skills, such as food chase games and recall games. I can't wait to see the mischief Hades and his owner get up to together as his training progresses!

Isn't Freya just beautiful? I met her recently when her family contacted us to help her settle in, and build some good habits from the beginning. I can't wait to watch her grow into the happy, confident girl she can be!

I was absolutely smitten by little Mila in her first consult today. At six months old, she is full of personality and isn't afraid to show it to anyone who will watch her! Her wonderful owners reached out for help with teaching her to walk nicely on a leash and how to manage her barking, especially when around new people. This little superstar even ignored some birds today after some food games! Great work Mila!

This week we had the pleasure of meeting Milly. This beautiful girl simply needs some help focusing on her human when on a walk and learning how to not bark at other dogs or people. She has already made huge progress since we saw her, well done Milly!

Merlin and Atlas have been loving their adventures with us lately. Their humans have a lot going on in their lives right now, so we've had the pleasure of taking them for some fun. Yesterday was quite warm, so we cooled off at the local river. Spending time with these boys is always so much fun, especially when Auri gets to come too!

I had the pleasure of meeting Moey and Marney the Australian Shepherds and Stubby the Jack Russell during the week. Moey and Marney needed some help channeling their excitement on lead, especially when other dogs are around, while Stubby was more than happy supervising the process. With the dedication of their owners, this trio will be rocking the local market in no time! Well done everybody, I can't wait to see you progress!

Lenny and his humans have been working very hard lately. When we met Lenny he would howl and scream whenever he saw another dog on a walk, simply because he did not know how to act in this kind of situation. Now Lenny is learning to make some great choices by engaging with his owners when he is confused or unsure, especially when other dogs are around. He has already come so far, and I'm excited to see him bound ahead in the near future! Well done to Lenny and his amazingly dedicated owners!

The handsome Jasper has been loving our training walks lately. He needed some help learning how to work through his reactivity to other dogs after some prior experiences, and has been such a star! He has been learning so fast, and loves to strut his stuff when he makes good choices. I'm so proud of you Jasper, and I'm excited to see how fast you ace your new goals!

Earlier this week I was lucky enough to be able to meet the gorgeous Tilly! Tilly needed some help building her reliable recall. She also learned how to relax on her bed when guests arrive. She absolutely smashed her goals! Well done Tilly!

We had a blast with the beautiful Nala last weekend, isn't she just divine? We worked on her puppy foundations, including toilet training, crate training and mouthing, to get her off to the best start possible. Well done Nala!
