Merry Christmas to all my doggy clients and their parents.

But most of all thank you for the support, through not just covid but with my mum and having to move her to age care.

Morning all..
Well with some great news from the government yesterday about vic being able to start getting back to life from the 22nd oct..
So for us that means not just welfare grooms any more, we will be aloud to do all sorts of grooming again.. yah 😀
So from the 25th oct we will be back and going for regular grooming.
The only down side to this great news, is I’m still recovering from a back strain.
So will be only booking a few dogs in a week.
And still NO new clients till at least next year.
And we are still drop off and pick up out on the footpath till we are at 80% vaccination.
Then after that you can come back into the salon.
So let’s hope this is the last time we ever have to shut our doors to all you guys..

PUPDATE - Please read entire post

There have been some changes made by the government in regards to dog grooming which have been made a little confusing by incorrect media reporting.

It is our understanding that we are permitted to open for grooming where a dogs welfare is at risk and no other option is available. Welfare grooming is necessary for essential maintenance and for the prevention of discomfort.

Just what is animal welfare in relation to grooming? Well it can be any of the following:

*Curly coats/Drop Coats that have matted or are beginning to mat
*Hot Spots
*Double coated breeds (Overheating)
*Compacted undercoat
*Overgrown nails and hair inbetween pads
*Grooming around sanitary areas
*Hair growing in to eyes
*Skin conditions that need regular medicated bathing

What this means to you. Well we can groom your dogs that are in need of grooming. I know most of you will be in that category.
But we will contact you in regards to this. So please be patient, we will get to you as soon as possible.

Please note that due to restrictions, contactless is how we have to be. So we will meet you out side and collect your dog and groom it, then return to you out there too.

Please note that we will not be able to do any short coated breeds, unless of course they have a skin condition that need a medicated treatment. We will also not be doing any style grooms or tidies as we must keep our services open for those with genuine welfare needs only.

At this time, we have temporarily closed our books to new clients. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

We won’t be booking grooming till next week, as We have prior appointments for family things for the rest of this week, So please don’t call us, we will contact you, if you where one of the clients who had to be canceled due to the lock downs first. And if you didn’t have a prior appointment, and need your dog groomed due to welfare please call and leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We will attach the RSPCA information file, that we have to follow.

Again, we thank you for your patience and ongoing support, and hope to see you all soon.

Hi all.
So the vic Gov and the wording on the dhhs site have been updated.
Still a no for home salons like me to groom.
But mobile groomers are working again. And the pet stores that have grooming. But most are for welfare only grooms.
So if any of my lovely clients do need their pooches groomed due to matting or over heating. Maybe try your luck with the grooming listed.
But once again they are only for welfare. And still may not be able to fit you in either.
I will inform everyone once I know any more news.
So sorry it’s not better news.
And can’t wait to see all your smiling faces and waging tails soon..

Please sign if you would like to try and help groomers in Victoria get back to grooming not just for beautiful fluffy pooches but to have the welfare and needs of the dogs
That are missing out due to the government not allowing us to be essential.
It’s not about vanity it’s about making dogs healthy and happy.

So yet another lock down done and dusted..
I’m sure it won’t be the last 🤨
But we are back as of Thursday.
Everyone who has been waiting due to canceled bookings, have been notified of new spots.

Once again, we are still locked down!
So hopefully closer to the 10th June we will know if we can work again.
Mobile grooming is aloud to work. So if anyone is in desperate situation, and you need them. Maybe give some a call. We can’t say that you will get in, in the 7 days. As they will have their own clients to fit in.
Fingers crossed we can work in 7 days
