Pet Perfection's 2nd last day. Emotions are high. Very much bitter-sweet. Our last day will be Thursday 22nd. Then Pet Perfection will be no more. Thank you to all my wonderful clients past and present, I will miss you all.

What a day, celebrating 29 years of Pet Perfection and a farewell. Finishing up at Christmas. Thank you to all my family, friends and clients that came to celebrate with me today. I loved reminiscing with everyone. Though forgot to take photos of day celebrations.

You’re Invited to Pet Perfection’s
29th Birthday and Farewell Celebrations.

It is with great sadness to inform you that Pet Perfection will be closing at the end of December, I am retiring from pet grooming due to my ongoing health issues. This was not a decision I took lightly but once made I knew this was the right time.
So please come and celebrate 29 years of grooming and running Pet Perfection with me. There will be two party sessions, please select one and RSVP.
I know I am going to shed many a tear over the next couple of months, and I thank you all for your many years of patronage, many of you and your pets have become like family and close friends.
I will be providing a recommendation list and information on your dogs' clip for the new groomer, hopefully by November.

If you do bring your dog/s they must be on lead, but I am looking forward to seeing all my puppy family during their grooming visits before Christmas. I understand it maybe too crowded for most dogs to attend.

Christmas is coming soon and the dog treats are ready. We have $1 treat packs, $3 liver canes, $10 showbags and $12 XMAS stocking which include a red light up collar. Limited stocks available.

Ok, a little bit of good news. If your dog is matted, in pain or needs a shave off for skin problems we are now allowed to do welfare grooming only. No preventative grooming is allowed as yet. So please message me if this is the case and I can arrange a time. Otherwise just hang in there a little bit longer

More clarification tomorrow, but it seems like they are now going to allow only Pet retail stores to do welfare grooms. You won't need a vet letter but, now home based and mobile definitely can not.

This is quite obscure re what welfare means but if your dog is completely matted and needs a shave off please send me a picture and organise a letter from your vet and can organise a time. I will not be open for anything else at the moment.

Just checking in, hope you and your pups are surviving. Unfortunately we have been advised that a letter from you vet to say it is a welfare groom does not give us an exemption to groom, if this changes I will let you know as most Vet are willing to do this.
We miss all our dogs we groom so feel free to post a picture below, these are my two, Casper (12yrs) and Indy (6mths). Keep safe and well.

Lockdown has been extended and even though some media are saying Pet groomers can resume, but unfortunately so far that is only mobile groomers.

We are closed due to lockdown again, but will be here waiting for you all as soon as we can reopen. There are now three of us grooming so fitting you all in will hopefully be a bit easier. So enjoy some quality time with your family and pets and keep safe and well.

We are opening tomorrow but I need to go into day surgery on Thursday 29th as part of my cancer treatment. Sandy will still be able to groom on the 29th and 30th. And I should be back in some capacity after Cup Day. We will try to fit as many as possible before the 29th.

The pet groomers of Victoria and even some interstate groomers have joined forces in several support groups, not only to support each other mentally and emotionally but as a group have been very vocal towards government. Unfortunately, even when we are finally heard there are not many answers forthcoming. 11 days to go and there is still a chance we may not be able to open. A big thank you to all my fellow groomers who are supporting each other.

Two weeks to go! The entrance is just about ready, just waiting for the perspex screen.

Tip of the day. If your dogs fringe is getting long and you don't want to cut it, tie it up in a loose ponytail. Just make sure your dog can close their eyes.

Trying to keep busy as the countdown is on to reopening. I have half the new wall done. In another week I will start the calls to rebook everyone. Fingers crossed the numbers stay low.

Media and Facebook may say all pet groomer (except mobile) can open now. But that is not the fine print. Sorry, still Oct 19.

Looks like 3 more weeks until we can open, 19th Oct. The industry is still fighting to open sooner so I still won't start making bookings until Oct 12.
