If you have an issue with your dog that needs addressing, I may be able to help you.

Is your dog making your life difficult and stressful? Is your dog too excited to take notice of you? Have you tried obedience classes and puppy school and your dog is still out-of-control?

Pulling on the lead, jumping all over you, jumping on and chewing the furniture, barking at and scratching the doors, barking at the neighbours, digging holes in the garden, rushing through doorways and gates are just some of the issues that make life difficult, but are actually quite simple and easy to fix.

I am an experienced dog trainer, who for many years lived in the country training horses and dogs. I have a special talent and affinity with animals and using my experience in both the dog and horse world, I bring a unique and practical approach to the world of dog training. I am also the mother of five grown, strong-minded children, including twins, and this again has prepared me well for the very similar, calm, strong, consistent approach needed to train dogs.

I am passionate and caring about helping people have better relationships with their dogs. I see many dogs exhibiting anxious, out-of-control, overly-excited behaviour. An anxious, excited dog is not necessarily a happy dog. A happy dog is relaxed and focused. I can teach you how to read the body language of your dog. This will give you a unique insight into how they are feeling and what they are trying to tell you. This enables you to greatly improve your relationship with your dog and they will, as a result, begin to view you as a fair and consistent leader.

I use a very simple, practical approach to dog training. I use body language as the main method as this is the way that dogs communicate, and is a very fair and easily understood technique to train a dog. I also set behavioural limits and make them very clear to the dog. This mimics what happens in the hierarchy of a dog pack situation and since dogs feel secure and safe when they are shown these limits in a clear and consistent way, the dog will respond by settling down and becoming calm and focused.
