Here is the vascular system in a canine head. This highlights the enormous amount of blood flow in the dogs nose. This blood flow serves many purposes, fuels the scent chambers, aids in temperature regulation, allows dogs to effectively track, but this also makes the dogs nose incredibly sensitive to touch. This is the main reason we do not use face harnesses. There are plenty of tools designed to communicate with dogs that do not put pressure on one of their most sensitive features.

A Tasmanian breeder has been shut down after using a property in a residential area as a commercial "labradoodle" breeding facility.

Lisa Bartlett, who runs the FB-based breeding business Tassie Devil Labradoodles, is the daughter of notorious puppy farmers Liz and Paul Bartlett, who are currently facing court over 70 counts of overbreeding dogs at Tasmanian Labradoodles in Epping.

The two business are stated to operate separately.

Let's be clear: a "labradoodle" is an expensive cross breed, no matter how many generations are bred down. They are a fad dog and broadly exploited to meet the consumer market.

Instead of propping up breeders and driving the market further, adopt someone who needs a home. Maybe even a greyhound rescued from exploitation 🩷

Yesterday I adopted the oldest dog from a shelter!
I will never forget his eyes... When I walked through the shelter, he didn’t bother to look at me as if he knew I wouldn’t even see him! curled up in the corner,accepting his fate.
Animal shelter caretakers asked me... Are you sure you want to do this to yourself? What about the vet cost? The care ? Who knows what he has already experienced? He won't be with you for long, then another goodbye comes...

But yeah! I just want this dog!

I opened the cage Suddenly he looked at me as if he saw an angel... I hugged him and told him: I'm here!
Later he fell asleep in my arms... Probably the first solid sleep he's had in a long time.
