First clip for the morning, is this lovely old girl an with weather warming up she was sweating up sitting in the paddock, so we have kept her back on an later in the year , I will come out an do her again, but take the lot off 😍

First clip for the day is this lovely boy , his first time getting clipped, little nervous at the start , but slowly earning his trust, managed to get it all of with no problems 😍

Clipping a horse that isn't clean.

Ideally horses should be bathed the day before a clip, for many reasons, including

✔️comfort.
✔️clip quality.
✔️blade longevity.
✔️wear and tear on clipper.

If the horse hasnt been prepared properly there are ways to help make the best of the situation.

1️⃣clip slowly to avoid snagging.
2️⃣hot cloth with a no rinse wash to strip the grease and grime out of the coat after the first clip.
3️⃣go back over any missed areas in a different direction.
