We extend our deepest gratitude to the wonderful residents of Baptcare The Orchards and Baptcare for visiting our adoption shelter yesterday. Their generous donation of hand-knitted blankets will help keep our cats warm and feeling loved. In a tough decision, we let experience reign supreme over youthful enthusiasm and let 13 year old Pepper return to share his final tip in the AFL Grand Final series.
Pepper first came into our care in early August and in true old man style, has spent his days leisurely reading the football section of the newspapers that line his litter box in between enjoying regular naps to ponder his readings.
Despite his colouring aligning to the Magpies, Pepper has once again tipped his big cat cousins, the Brisbane Lions to get up in the big Collingwood versus Brisbane battle.

Confidence from our specialist feline footy tippers is high, with Willow proudly letting her clan of fellow feline footy obsessed companions know that she is now 2 from 2 with her footy tips, correctly picking the Magpies to get up in last nights game.
Begrudgingly, Willow has “shared” the footy tipping role with tipping newcomer; Pepper. At 13 years old, Pepper has watched countless footy games and comes with the unique experience that only comes with age and maturity. Pepper is sweet, considered and is looking for a quiet home where he can retire to and happily spend his days snuggling up against his human.
Pepper, without any hesitation (and perhaps of no surprise) has picked his big cat cousins, the Brisbane Lions to get up in tonight’s Brisbane versus Carlton decider.

We made a commitment that the cats in our care would dabble in the world of footy tipping throughout the AFL Finals series, and whilst their hit rate has been at best, questionable, we did want to make good on our promise whilst also providing some very in-need cats with their opportunity to shine.
For tonight’s big game between Collingwood and GWS, we bought back our one and only successful tipster from the last 2 rounds; the beautiful 6month old Willow. Willow is an active and playful girl who loves to explore, discover and have fun. She is curious and cuddly; affectionate and loves an adventure. She does have a health condition which will require her to be an indoor only cat, however with personality plus, you will want to keep her close-by at all times anyway.
When asked for her verdict for tonights game, Willow weighed up her options oh-so quickly and confidentially landed on Collingwood to get up in tonights decider.
Let’s see if Willow is again on the money.

Feline footy tips by the felines of CPSV
In the purrfect example of cats doing only as cats please, it seems our CPSV tipsters have been tipping the teams they think will lose, with 5 from 5 of their tips in the final series (regardless of cat) being for the losing footy team.
Based on this, Willow has tipped GWS Giants to LOSE and not progress in the finals series.
Let’s see if Willow is right- or wrong 🤪- we can’t quite keep up any longer.

After a serious talking to in terms of tipping the winning as opposed to losing team, 4 year old Baloo was quick to put his four-paws up and was willing to put his pride on the line to select who he thinks will win the big Melbourne versus Carlton game tonight.
Normally characterised by being shy and hesitant, Baloo acted with all the confidence and swagger and made his way straight to the Melbourne food-bowl clearly selecting the Melbourne Demons to get up tonight without too much issue.

In a controversial decision sure to upset their big cat cousins, the cats of CPSV have tipped the Port Adelaide Power to get up over the Brisbane Lions in tonight’s game. The spokes-cat; 6month old Willow who is an active and playful girl who loves to explore, discover and have fun. She is a curious cat who loves to investigate and loves to cuddle up with her human. Willow does have a medical condition that will need to be discussed with our Vet team prior to adoption.
