Hello to all my lovely clients 👋🐶🐾

Unfortunately due to the continued rising costs of grooming products, maintenance of my tools, gas, electricity and water charges I’m going to have to increase prices for my services.

Prices will vary according to size, temper, coat length/ condition and service/s provided. Extensive ear cleaning/plucking and poodle feet will also incur additional fees.

If you’re wanting to know the cost of your dog from now on you can message me privately.

Effective as of Friday 1st December 2023.

I have done extensive research on costs of grooming around Melton and surrounding areas and I am by far the cheapest around.

I received a quote for my male Cavoodle full groom $120. Now that’s insane and I will never charge my clients this price but I think I have earned my place as a reputable groomer here in Melton as I am going into my 5 year as a professional groomer.

6 years ago I was paying $70 each for grooming of my dogs. I have tried to keep prices as low as possible for as long as I can but unfortunately inflation is driving my prices up.

I hope you all understand and support me on this very hard decision I’ve had to make.

If you receive your new price and you are not happy with it and would like to try another groomer please let me know so I can remove you from my database.

Hi everyone 👋

I’ve been a little slack with the Christmas raffle as you know I had a death to grieve and I’ve had some health problems of late. Below are ticket numbers that are still available to purchase.

I have only groomed 2 dogs in need as I have been off work a bit with appointments and health issues but I promise in the new year I will be doing more as I need to get through my own clients first.

First prize is $250 worth of free grooms.

I will be giving dog food and treats to shelters as well over Christmas.

It’s not always about the perfect haircut. Grooming dogs requires patience and empathy, sometimes that means sacrificing style choices
for comfort. I always say “HUMANITY OVER VANITY” It’s one of the most important lessons grooming has taught me as a person and there’s no better feeling knowing how much they appreciate it. 🐾🐶

It’s with such a heavy heart we say goodbye to Molly. She crossed over rainbow bridge yesterday. Your dogs are family to me and it just shows when your clients send photos like this to me. Will miss you Molly. Fly HIGH Angel girl. Your mummy is very heartbroken as she loved you more than life. 🌈🐶🐾

Photos that are taken after grooming will now be uploaded on Fridays. I’m going to call it PHOTO FRIDAYS!!! I think this is the best option so I don’t clog up your feed. I’m only taking photos after full grooms not wash and tidies and if your puppy doesn’t get a photo it’s because he/she did not want to sit on the prop. I try my best but not all will cooperate. 🐾🐶

I hate doing before and afters I would rather just do a little photo shoot with them after their grooms. I’ve set up a boy and girl little Photo Booth. It’s more natural photos. Whatever they give me is what you will get 😂😂😂

Good morning all 🥰

This is just a thought I have.

Going live on Facebook while I work as I’ve recently developed a fear of working alone. (Crazy right 🤷‍♀️)It’s kind of like added reassurance for me knowing if something was to happen to me or a dog it’s all documented.

You can then also watch your dog getting groomed if you like.

Does this sound silly? I love my job, I love what I do. Just gets quite lonely working alone and also a little scary as no one is around. My workspace is right at the back of my property and there is absolutely no way of getting help if needed.

If something was to happen then one of you could call for help.

Honest opinions please! Am I overreacting 🤷‍♀️

It’s come to my attention that some clients are getting upset with messages that are being sent out when I confirm appointments and on the day of your appointment. These have been implemented because I have changed address and also because a lot of people have taken advantage of me in the past and I’ve had to create terms and conditions.
Please understand this is my business (my income) I get people cancelling on the day all the time, people leaving their dogs with me for hours on end and people turning up way too early or too late for their appointment. I want my business to run as smoothly as possible.

Here are the messages that are sent out to EVERYONE and you are not being targeted in anyway.

MESSAGE 1: If you haven’t been to my new address this message will be sent out

PLEASE READ

New address is …………………… Melton South. Please message me upon arrival and I’ll come out to meet you.

If you have more than one dog they are to have collars and leads.

As my garage is located at the back of my property I ask you to come only 5 mins prior to your appointment time so I’m not constantly walking back and forth. (Unless arranged prior.)
Please reply with Y to confirm or N to cancel or reschedule.

Cancellation fee of $15 will be added to next groom if cancelled on the day and reschedule fee of $5 will be added if you choose to reschedule your appointment.

Additional fees are now being charged for matted dogs and dogs that require more than one wash.

PLEASE ONLY TYPE Y OR N so I know you have read the message as I’ve had too many clients turn up at my old address and that you agree to terms and conditions.

If you find these messages offensive in anyway I am sorry but as stated earlier for my business to run as smoothly as possible I needed to implement changes.

Also if you’re on the cancellation list I ask you to give me days/times you’re available. I know many of my clients are either friends or family to my other clients so if you get in earlier than someone you know it’s because they have given my more availability to work with or they have only one dog and you have two and I don’t have the time on that day for two.

I hope this clarifies issues that have been raised.

Not the best groom as she didn’t like her legs, feet or face being touched and she is 13 so as long as I’ve made her comfortable that’s all that matters.

She was also sent home with 5 tins for food and a bags of treats.

This sweet boy WE groomed today (I say we) because without you guys helping with raising the funds in the Christmas raffle I would not be able to start this early on grooming for free.

He was in desperate need of grooming and owner was so embarrassed by his state that she was feared of being judged bringing him to a grooming salon.

Everyone has a story and everyone goes through hard times in life that’s why I do what I do. I know first hand what it’s like to struggle.
