** UPDATE **

To our loyal customers,

We wish to start by saying thank you for your support of our Australian Made and Owned business and brand. LifeWise has come a long way in the last 5 and a 1/2 years and we couldn't have done it without you all. We have had some amazing growth over the years, but last year was even more successful than we ever anticipated. With growth in sales in mind, we increased our capacity at the beginning of 2023 to plan for these increased sales, however, we have even exceeded that increase! Whilst this was very exciting, it was also very stressful as we ran out of many of our diets. This also happened at possibly the worst time of the year when our factory closes for annual maintenance.

It became obvious in early December that the remarkable increase in demand for LifeWise products was going to exceed our ability to supply, so work commenced on increasing our production capacity. As you can imagine, rapid increases in production where ingredient supply has up to 4 months pipeline fulfilment can be problematic, and this has caused the current shortage.

We are here to let you know that this stock shortage will be short lived and there is light at the end of the tunnel. We have implemented measures to double production and this manufacturing has already commenced, stock will begin to become available next month.

Whilst we can well understand the disruption caused by the current shortage, all we can do is apologise most sincerely and profusely whilst assuring you we are making every effort to ensure production capacity going forward will be more than adequate to meet demand. Quite frankly, we never anticipated such a massive increase in demand as experienced during the last couple of months would occur.

If you have adult dogs who cannot find their normal adult food, Biotic Skin, Biotic Joint or Biotic F.A.S. Calm are great alternatives in the interim (pending the dog's current health). Always remember to do the slow transition between foods if you are changing diets.

Pets Corner Store is now the proud owner of Howler Pet Foods! For this reason we’re looking to expand our staff and now have a position available for 4 days a week, being Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am till 3pm and the occasional Saturday morning.

A little about us. Here at PCS we’re a small family owned and run pet food store that specialises in raw feeding. We’re super proud of our service, offering complete meal programs, single protein options for pets with allergies, tailored meal plans, and all made fresh here in store with no added preservatives. Customer service is our highest priority, and we believe this is what has had our customers coming back for years.

What we’ll need from you?
The job will involve heavy lifting, with our bags of dog kibble/ bird seeds etc each weighing 20kgs. Our meat comes in 10kg bags and we’ll move quite a few each day, so we’ll require someone who is physically capable of lifting. We mince and pack our own meats in store, which includes offal, so there’s always blood…. Someone who can handle that is an absolute must!
There will be cleaning involved, so someone with attention to detail and strong hygiene practices is a must.
Till operation and order taking, so being tech savvy would be a bonus, however not essential.
Great customer service capabilities and a positive can do attitude are essential.
We need someone who is great with animals and just as passionate about animal nutrition as we are.
The ability to take initiative and get the job done without being constantly supervised is also essential for this role.

Still on the fence about raw feeding? Not yet convinced it’s the best thing you could do for your fur baby?

Meet Spook the Great Dane puppy.

Spook along with his mother, brothers and sisters were seized in a neglect case so horrific I burst into tears the day he hobbled into our little pet food shop. Hardly any hair, skin and bone, covered in scabs, so malnourished he was less than half the size he should be, and the worst case of knuckling I have ever seen, rendering him crippled and unable to walk properly. Little Spooks legs were so deformed from lack of nutrition that I was convinced there was no bringing him back from it. He was in pain, crying constantly, yet somehow still had a glimmer of hope in his sad little eyes.

Spook’s new foster mum (who later adopted him) rang our shop in desperation for some advice from a certain crazy Dane lady that worked there and may be able to offer some advice.

I’m not gonna lie, if it was me I probably would have put the poor little babes down, but his amazing mum seen strength in him and was determined to fix him. If she wasn’t gonna give up on him, neither was I.

Spook weighed in at just under 10kgs at 16 weeks old…. The average weight for a 16 week old Dane is 24 - 30kgs. He was less than half the average height.

And so we tailored a raw feeding program to suit this gorgeous wee man, and added the supplements and vitamins his fragile bones would need of we were gonna fix his severe knuckling. 2 months later his mum brought him back in for an update…. And so I cried again. No more knuckling, his hair had grown back, his eyes were clear and my gosh had he grown! What a handsome man he has become!

Spooks road to recovery isn’t over yet and he needs surgery soon for cherry eye, but thanks to the right food, and most importantly an amazing mum who has shown him the love and care he deserves, he’s doing fantastic!
