The new batch of corals have settled in nicely and are looking great!

Matt will be away next Tuesday and Wednesday at an industry expo in Melbourne, so please come in today and tomorrow for your Spintouch tests, our brand new corals, and saltwater critters as marine staffing will be limited. RODI water will still be available in the stock 20L drums. Then next Friday Laura is jetting off to Cairns for a native fish conference, and back in shop on the 25th ✈️

Matt also put together this quick scape in one of the Aquael Leddy 60setups. Perfect for planting out with a carpet then adding some Maculata Rasbora to fill it out. What an amazing look!!

More "Barn" Finds!

These 2 5ft lights with cut cords.
Both work, their cords were just cut to remove them from the old shelving. Anyone who can splice cables should be able to get them to work, or use them for parts.
1 is white and 1 is a "colour" light.

Fishy fishy fishy 🐠 we just unboxed some cool stuff including a 12cm wild freshwater dolphin (SOLD OUT! will try to order more), wild benjarong region betta splendens, bumblebee gobies - plus heaps of little ones: redtail rasbora, green neon tetras, honey gourami, lemon tetra, blue cochu tetra, speartail platys, kuhli loaches, basic corys, plus rams, angels, reticulate yoyo loaches, and red rainbowfish

We’ve made up HEAPS of $5 bargain plant bags, including red root floater + sußwassertang - no postage due to the weather sorry!

Even though our coral farm has gone on holidays we still have a large variety of frags available and plenty of inverts and clean up crew in store too!
We have sent out a marine email to our email list today, so check it out and let us know if you didn't receive it! There's some rare fish with one of our suppliers that we can order in

PSA, we are keeping an eye on the weather today and may close early depending on wind and rain which is due to increase again this afternoon.

Plant delivery! Anubias assorted, nana, emerald heart, hybrid, hybrid broad - lilaeopsis and dwarf hairgrass pots - crypt mi oya, lutea, wendtii broad. That’s 9 varieties of crypt in stock right now! We still have some samolus parviflorus red in the goldfish tank which is not getting eaten so if you’ve ever wanted red plants to trial with goldfish, it’s the one 🌱 red root floater bags also available by request.

Look who just arrived! A dozen lovely peppermint bristlenoses, with some even sporting their spikes 🌿 plus a restock of endler guppies and platys, some spotted blue-eyes, apisto display males, and golden flame tetras - and all Tasmanian bred to boot. The weather being so wild has limited our livegoods ordering, and thankfully our local licensed breeders have been bringing the goods lately.

Plants need a little love? Ours have been enjoying the Easy-Life range, especially Profito being really easy dosing 1ml per 10L weekly. Our floating plants are growing like mad and new arrivals getting through their acclimatisation stage a little faster. We’ve ordered more crypts, anubias from nana to large, and fingers crossed carpeting stuff - all due in late Thursday - weather dependent, of course.

Back in stock: albino longfin bristlenose catfish, in regular juvie size - and six in a larger size too!

We’ve been working on our website in the background and all our new Fritz and Dymax lines are up to add to our range of drygoods online which are available for click-and-collect and Afterpay too. There’s still an annoying incorrect website pop-up that we can’t seem to get rid of so please ignore it and hang tight.

Veggies are great snacks for fish too! Today the goldfish, Siamese algae eaters, young bristlenoses, and plant tank residents have baby cucumbers for lunch 🥒 just use a suction cup, fork, or SeaVeggies clip and remove any leftovers in the morning.

Splashy snackie Superfresh time with the barbs and black belts! Pisces preserved riceworms are on the treat menu today for these guys and the plant tank residents 🐠 in stock in riceworm + mealworm varieties and less than a tenner, just beware of the splash zone.

Addicted2Fish providing some Kessil lighting that looks pristine above the @cadeaquariums. This paring has created a very slim looking 3ft frag tank

A 60 frag top up from Monsoon Aquatics arrived today! Some very stunning things in this order! Wowzer! Video taken using Fritz Coral View glasses and nothing else, no editing or changing of saturation etc. These are great for removing the Blue washout when viewing or photographing your tank. And boy do they help let you see the nuances of your favourite corals colours and patterns.

Our Tissue Cultre plants have been flying off the shelf lately, so we have increased our range even further! Heres a quick video to show the species that are still left on the shelf. With more to come next week, including some Crypt and Anubias species.

Now they're out of the bag, the Nanochromis Transvestitus have quickly become one of our favourite fish. Such a personality for such a tiny fish. With a maximum size of around 3cm, these dwarf cichlids are a sight to see. Note: these are expert care fish requiring low pH (6 or less!)

One of our new arrival bettas is a bit of a ✨spectacle✨ with an opal reflect through the body, and a big beautiful shimmery tail with yellow, blue, red, and black! No holds, sorry.

Double-sided background restock = a full spinner! 30cm, 48cm, and 60cm tall and perfect for preventing algae caused by excess light. Desert-themed reptile background now on clearance too 🌵

Have you looked into Kessil lighting before? We now have a pair of Kessils linked up over our plant tank. With an incredibly small form factor for the power they are one of the best high-end aquarium lights worldwide. Producing a very natural shimmer and shadow effect. Check them out! With thanks to the teams at Aqua Premium for the Glossy 150 setup in white. And Addicted2Fish for the Kessils.

New female bettas looking lovely! Assorted, dumbo, double tail, white - includes a couple of kois and some interesting wild-marked blues 🐠

EELS! Freshwater moray, just arrived. These noodles are excellent escape artists and get fairly sizeable, and will snack on little fishies. An oddity worth owning. (We also got one more freshwater dolphin but that’s not as cool)
