If you haven’t vaccinated your cat in the last 12 months, now might be the time!

Remember no cats can go into boarding without their vaccinations

Our Vet Nurse, Erin’s strictly indoor cat is getting her yearly vet check and vaccination against feline enteritis and feline cat flu.

Feline enteritis is also known as Panleucopenia. It is very contagious and the death rate is high, especially under 12 months of age. Pregnant cats may lose their young or give birth to kittens with abnormalities, quite often with brain damage. Symptoms are depression, loss of appetite, uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhoea, often with blood and servers pain. Cats that do recover may continue to carry the virus for some time and infect other cats.

Feline respiratory disease (cat flu) is highly contagious and causes sneezing, coughing, runny eyes, nasal discharge, loss of appetite and tongue ulcers. Fortunately the death rate is low except in young kittens, but the disease is distressing and may persist for several weeks.

Raffles tickets are $2 or 3 for $5

Tickets are available now until 24th of August, the winner will be drawn on Monday the 27th of August.

GOOD LUCK! 🐶

Remember to keep your pets snuggly and warm over winter just like Daisy

12/03/2018

If your is sniffling and sneezing, don’t rule out a nasal foreign body. This 7cm blade of grass was taken from the cats nostril. Only a tiny thread was visible. The cat probably ate the grass, then vomited it back, lodging in her nasal cavity. It was removed without an anaesthetic

LAST CHANCE FOR A CUPCAKE!

We have sold over 400 cupcakes since Monday and we have 44 left. Every night Ken, Alice or Erin have had to go home to bake more, the demand has been so high.

Our cupcake mascot today is Magpie a 9 week old Great Dane the newest member of Fr Chris Riley's family from the charity Youth Off The Streets. We all love being a part of such a wonderful organization and take pride in looking after all of their Vet requirements, especially when they are as cute as Magpie!

Our amazing Vet Nurses will be busy baking tonight and will be going out to our Bundanoon clinic tomorrow with Ken from 2:30.

Wishing you all a happy cupcake week, Harley out."
