Box Divvy is Community owned and run. This is a fruit veg and grocery cooperative. It's an OPT IN system so when orders are published you will receive an email and have 3 days to share boxes with other members. You can suggest a SPLIT (share a box) or Join

a Split. We purchase as a group and are up to 30% cheaper than online supermarkets. It’s a Smart co-op so you get more of what you want than a regular co-op. You must pick up day of delivery at the pick-up time or arrange later time that same day with Hubster.

3 DAY ORDER CYCLE –FOR Tuesday pick up
Before 9pm Thursday as a courtesy for your Hubster if you do not wish an order login, go to MY ORDERS, dropdown Suspend Deliveries and tick the date not wanting an order. If you do fortnightly then this is the place to go to organise your orders. Thursday 10.30pm – Orders are created. You get an email. Note Star Products at the top of the list in SPLITS tab. These are recommendations by your Hubster. The green dollar sign products are good value. Start your order in Marketplace then go to your SPLITS tab. This is explained in your Welcome email. Sunday 9pm – Order CUTOFF Orders closed. Cards charged. There are 2 automatic processing’s, if those both decline - a $5 recharge fee is applied as it pays for someone to manually reprocess. You must pay BEFORE pick-up. Tuesday PICK UP. Home delivery offered for the Mount Hutton area. PAYMENTS
You must pay for your order once committed to an order cycle. If your payment declines twice there is a $5 recharge fee applied to the third attempt. Want to know more? www.boxdivvy.com/join-a-food-hub

It's divvy day! Absolutely massive produce today. The pumpkins, cauliflower, celery and wombok were huge. They'll last weeks because of how fresh they are and still cheaper than the supermarket. Love Box Divvy!!

Box Divvy is a social enterprise business connecting local communities with farmers and growers. Ordering is just like online shopping via an app but you pick it up from a neighbour. There are hubs all over NSW, with lots in Lake Mac and Newcastle.
You can buy all your fruit, veggies, meat, chilled, bakery and lots of pantry items. You may never need to go to a supermarket again.

So happy to be part of the Box Divvy solution to better outcomes for growers and better outcomes for consumers. The supermarkets have too much power!

Fabulous, fairly paid for produce, with good old fashioned customer service, that gives consumers and farmers a better deal!

That's Box Divvy 💚

Price gouging could soon become illegal in Australia following the recommendation of a major supermarket inquiry. The landmark report seeks to tackle elevated food prices and contain supermarket profit margins as well as supporting competition.

Jerusalem Artichokes

These are the tubers of Sunflower plants, which is why they’re also called Sunchokes. They have a sweet and nutty flavour, and can be eaten raw and crunchy in a salad, pan-fried or oven-baked.

Jerusalem artichokes Chips
300g Jerusalem artichokes
olive oil
sea salt

In a pot or deep fryer place the oil so it will cover the chips and heat.
Scrub the Jerusalem artichokes, removing any dirt but leaving the skin on. Fill a bowl with water and some lemon juice. Slice the artichokes (about 2-4mm thick) and add them to the water as they turn brown quickly. Drain and pat dry on a paper towel.
Deep fry until golden - it should take less than a minute. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with sea salt. Serve with a Dip.

Pan fried Jerusalem Artichokes
2 1/2 tbs butter, divided.
1 tbs olive oil
500g Jerusalem artichokes, scrubbed, sliced into 1cm rounds.
1 1/2 tbs sage leaves, coarsely torn.
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbs Italian parsley, chopped.

Melt 1 tablespoon butter with olive oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add Jerusalem artichokes and half of sage. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sauté until brown and just beginning to soften, turning frequently, about 10 minutes. Using slotted spoon, transfer Jerusalem artichokes to shallow serving bowl. Add remaining 2 tablespoons butter and sage to skillet; fry until sage darkens and begins to crisp, about 30 seconds. Add lemon juice; simmer 1 minute. Pour lemon-sage butter over Jerusalem artichokes in bowl, tossing to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with parsley.
Optional: pan-frying alone will leave them slightly crunchy. If you prefer your artichokes soft on the inside, cook them as above – and finish them off in a pre-heated 180 C oven for 15 minutes.

Autumn weather? Time for Potato and Leek Soup

As the weather is cooling, soup is coming back in favour. And with both leek and potatoes super cheap, now is a good time for Potato and Leek soup. For potatoes, use starchy ones like Royal Blue (and incredibly low $1.29 a kilo) or Sebago. Add some garlic and cream (optional), and you’re done.

For a recipe, check out

Leek and Potato Soup is a thick and creamy French soup that's cosy and comforting and also ideal for elegant dinners. Garlic butter base, croutons on top!

Passionfruit!
If that didn’t stir up a bit of passion, then this will: large passionfruit for 97 a piece 🤤🤤 What will you do with yours? I love making mine into a beautiful passionfruit curd for those weekend pancakes 😍

As wonderful as this is to eat piled on top of fresh white bread, it is exceptional sandwiching a Victoria sponge, dolloped over muffins and pancakes, or poured into a cooked and cooled pastry case. For US cup measures, use the toggle at the top of the ingredients list.

has delivered again!

This time we are introducing NO PONG

No Pong is an extremely effective deodorant, but it is important to note that it is not an anti-perspirant, and does not contain ingredients (which are often aluminium based) designed to block sweat pores.

Rather than a spray or roll-on, No Pong is a cream that you simply apply to your underarm.

If you’ve been using anti-perspirants for some time you may find that you sweat more, but you have no body odour. Anecdotal evidence among long-time No Pong users suggest that they actually sweat much less than before they started using No Pong, as their pores can breathe freely and their bodies are not constantly trying to produce as much sweat to cool down.

No Pong is a little different to most conventional deodorants, but is just as easy to apply:

It’s more like a lotion or a cream – just apply a pea sized amount to each armpit.

All natural ingredients that are extremely effective at reducing smelly armpit bacteria

Ingredients designed to last all day and absorb sweat while allowing your skin to breathe.

Doesn’t use aluminium salts which block pores, as traditional antiperspirant products are designed to do.

Subtle, light and refreshing botanical fragrances, which work perfectly well on their own, or in combination with other fragrances.

Remains with you to keep you smelling fresh and feeling confident all day.
