❤ Pet Insurance
Some veterinary care and other associated costs, such as treatment of tick paralysis and snake bites or car accidents can be quite substantial.
Pet insurance is available for dog’s from as little as $1.30 per day or 75 cents a day for cats.
We do not offer insurance ourselves but are happy to provide you with brochures and information.
Pet insurance allows you to choose the best treatment for your pet without having to worry whether you can afford it.
If you need to discuss whats best for your pet contact the clinic to discuss.

As summer is in full swing, it’s important to be aware of seasonal hazards
that can affect cats and dogs.
Here are some key dangers to watch out for:
🥵 Heatstroke: Ensure your pets stay cool and hydrated. Avoid excessive
exercise during the hottest parts of the day and never leave them in
parked cars.
⚠️ Fleas and Paralysis Ticks: Regularly search your pets and use
preventative treatments, such as BRAVECTO® to keep them protected
year-round.
🎄Christmas Tinsel: While it’s festive, tinsel can be a serious danger if
ingested by curious cats and dogs. It can cause severe internal blockages,
so keep decorations out of reach.
⚡️ Thunderstorms: Loud noises can be very stressful for pets. Create a
safe, quiet space for them and consider calming aids if your pet is
particularly anxious.

It wasnt all work when Dr Joan visited Tweed Valley Pomeranians for their annual facility audit!!
As members of the AAPDB ( Australian Association of Pet Dog Breeders) you can be assured that any puppies bred here are raised in amazing facilities with loving care and attention. The veterinary audit is detailed and comprehensive covering such broad issues as provision of enrichment to laundry facilities. Tweed Valley Pomeranians passed with flying colours. Their dogs have such great lives which include frequent trips to swim in the creek!
Dr Joan was delighted to recieve a box of Christmas goodies for the clinic staff from Ron and Michelle ❤️🌺

Rabbits make ideal pets.
With the correct socialisation, housing, diet and health care they can be companions for many years.

A safe secure hutch. Hutches should have a place for your rabbit to hide so it feels safe. Keeping your rabbit in an indoor enclosure is preferred.

Rabbits should be fed hay and vegetable diets. They are grazers, so fresh grass or grass hay should make up 80% of their diet.

Calcivirus is common and fatal, so make sure your rabbits get a vaccination from us.
Teeth issues are relatively common in rabbits and nails need clipping.

Any concerns with your rabbit please contact the clinic. 6672 1919

Summer fun with our pets...
If your pet enjoys swimming, always supervise them around pools and lakes.
