Glad she was found safe and well

Cannington Detectives today recovered a 3 month old French Bulldog that had been stolen during a burglary yesterday. The owners were very happy to get little ‘Rouge’ back safe and sound. A 20 year old woman from Wanneroo has been charged, further arrests are expected.

When you get your 8 week old puppies, please keep these images in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

When you're letting your puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

Royal families the time has come:
You need to all write to your local MP
There is a new legislation trying to be put in place, the government are stating its to stop puppy farming, in fact it’s the total opposite.

The new laws will stop small breeders who raise pups in their family homes and are ankc registered.

The only people who will be allowed to breed are those who lock their dogs in kennels. In turn this will cause females to be over bred, prices of pups to increase and only option is to buy a pup raised in a kennel, not socialised, not exposed to a family home and noises. The domino effect of this is huge. The government don’t understand what breeders do, they have no idea we use frozen semen from dogs worldwide, they have no idea we ship chilled semen around Australia. They have no idea the health testing that happens.

I urge you to have your say to your local mp, tell them you bought your puppy from a small registered breeder with dogswest, your pup was raised in a home with children; was exposed to noises, has been healthy, is very well socialised due to his/her start to life.

Look at your precious baby and appreciate them as if this legislation gets passed, in the future you will be buying from a kennel with a pup who has only lived outside. Who has had little human contact and the price will be much higher as so will demand.
