Firstly thankyou to all those who are continuing to enter the weekly $2 draw. The support has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. Numbers have dropped sadly but with the economic climate I get that. Rescues everywhere are suffering.
Secondly. What have I been doing. The daily routine does not stop sadly. There is continuing cleaning and of course feeding. Thankfully we have had some nice days which makes our daily chores a lot easier.
Then there is this. First time and last I might add mumma chook decided she likes to sit on the eggs but once they have hatched she’s not really interested. So I have taken these 3. Two hatched in my incubator which is only a small one that I was given many years ago. It’s not a professional one by any means but it did the job. Then I was given a brooder some years back in a bit of disarray but the lamp and light both worked. Not the thermometer though but the fridge thermometer is doing its job and Mark repaired to as good as new. I wonder sometimes by my inability to throw things away and this past week has proven that some things in fact do come in handy.
Anyway here are my time wasters and you’d be surprised how much of my time has gone into sorting things this week. I’m not sure if there will be anymore I’ll candle the remaining eggs beginning of next week. I’m just a little infatuated by the way. 😍

We are fortunate to have a massive supply of Broughton Willow browse on the property. It’s a treat for them and they just love it. Mind you it’s a regular treat. Great for their teeth and the Broughton Willow has natural probiotics and anti inflammatorys. Win win for them all.

I rescued these kittens a couple of years back from a colony situation. They weren’t the usual rescues I do but I had a call for help from someone who had been caring for them. Sadly I couldn’t grab mum. She was just too smart. Three were rehomed the other two stayed. This is just a reminder of how important it is to get your cats desexed as soon as you can. They can have litters from about 4 months of age.
