Welcome to Jenny's Angels Dog Rescue. Help us help them. We endeavor to do our best for all dogs and work with other ethical rescues to ensure the best outcomes.

We are a small Not for Profit registered Charity based in South Australia committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of dogs from our local pound and surrounding areas. Here at Jenny’s Angels Dog Rescue, we are a small team of passionate, ethical and dedicated animal lovers. We began our venture in 2016 working together to rescue, re-habilitate and re-home dogs from our local pound and

surrounding country areas. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home these dogs to give them the best chance of finding the loving homes they deserve. We feel dogs in country areas are often forgotten and have a harder time finding new homes with limited avenues available. We work closely with our dedicated, highly experienced Animal Control officers . We re-home dogs and puppies of all ages, sizes and breeds that have been surrendered, seized, dumped or abandoned. It is also important to us that we educate and promote responsible ownership. We believe education and promotion of responsible dog ownership is paramount to reducing the number of ''unwanted'' dogs and hope to work with others to spread the word. Our dogs are all fostered in loving homes where they experience life in a family and learn valuable lessons needed to ensure their successful transition to their new homes. All our dogs are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and desexed before re-homing. Once re-homed we are always available to offer help or just to share the joy of the new owners. HELP US HELP THEM

GORGEOUS LITTLE SPRITE - ADOPTED

We are beyond happy that our little Sprite has found her loving forever home.

Sprite came to Jennys Angels towards the end of last year through the hard work or a local Victorian Ranger and several rescues.

She has been in foster care and learning how to cope better in our human world and patiently waiting for the PERFECT family to adopt her.

Her wish has come true, with Erin and Lee, and one of our past foster dogs, Shayla, meeting her for the second time and deciding they could not go back home to Victoria without her.

The meet took place on the 6 month anniversary of the passing of their beloved Princess - The Blind and Deaf Koolie.

There were tears of sadness when she left but more tears of joy that she has now gone to her forever home and will be loved like no other dog could be ###x

ARI UPDATE
A huge thankyou to everyone who donated towards Ari's vet care after his recent seizure 🙏
We received a wonderful $955.
We have added this to the recent donation we received from the artwork sold by Princess the Deaf and Blind Koolie of $180.
This gives us $1135 towards the care for Ari, minus $424.24 for his first vet consult, health profile blood tests and medication, leaving us $710.76 for his remaining vet care.
We have received the diagnostic results for Ari's first vet visit and they have come back relatively good with no evidence of potential for liver shunt etc.
We will give him some time to settle down from his seizure and manage with medication prescribed for a possible case of 'Idiopathic Epilepsy'
He will then be reassessed by his vet to see how things are going at which time he will also have a CT scan, given the other congenital concerns.

The stunning boy Ari has been going great guns and enjoying life with his foster family, both two and four legged while waiting patiently for his perfect forever home to come along.
Suddenly and with no warning Ari sadly suffered from a Canine focal seizure.
This is where we are asking for your help 🙏
Ari has a vet appointment today where he will undergo a number of tests to diagnose what is going on with him and how we can best help and support him, which all comes at a significant cost.
It is rare that we ask for donations but with the year we had in 2023, we are reaching out and asking for your help in this case.
I was unable to do fundraising last year due to my own health.
I was diagnosed with cancer, underwent major surgery and am still currently going through chemotherapy.
Without being able to fundraise the rescue did take a bit of a knock financially.
So please, if you are able to help, any donation will be greatly appreciated and will go towards the vet care for Ari.

Chantal adopted the beautiful Kahlia from us and has been a great advocate in raising awareness since Kahlia became a big part of her life.

Maddie was a great foster sister to Kahlia while she was in care, as she was with many others.
They played in a similar manner.

The 6 masterpieces raised an amazing $360, meaning a donation of $180 has been made to both Jenny's Angels Dog Rescue- Faith, Hope & Charity and Hear No Evil, Australian Deaf Dog Rescue.

It was bittersweet posting them to their new homes, but I’m glad that they have gone to people who will cherish them.

Princess’s legacy continues, with the money raised from her artwork helping 3 beautiful Double Merle girls who are currently waiting for their own furever homes.

R.I.P MADDIE 💓

We are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Maddie.

She was recently diagnosed with cancer but still had plenty of life ahead of her.

Maddie's life was cut short by snake bite.

You will be truly missed our goofy girl.
The love, the life and laughter you bought to our lives was indescribable.
The bond and your incredibly loyal nature was amazing.
You just loved life after such a rough start.
You were one in a million and will be deeply missed.

MAGNIFICENT MADDIE
Maddie was one of the first dogs to come into our care from the Whyalla Pound.
She was such a loving girl but had severe separation anxiety. We decided the best thing for her was to stay with the rescue and live her best life with us.
She has had a great life and is so loyal with a huge bond with us as you can see.
Sadly Maddie has been diagnosed with cancer but she is still a happy, silly goober otherwise and will continue the good life until its her time.
We are so grateful she came to us.
So loving and loyal 💕

SPRITE - AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Say hello to Sprite (previously Snowflake) who came into care several weeks ago from a rural pound in Victoria.

She was a stray, no-one collected her and her time was up, but thanks to the wonderful and caring Ranger, her life took a magnificent turn for the better.

She has had a full health check and is definitely one of our Special Souls. She is deaf and only has about 20% sight in one eye.

Before anyone goes 'of poor thing' please dont, she is full of love and energy and knows no different to what she was born with (or without). She is simply a Sparkling Special Soul who is now looking for her perfect forever home.

If you may be interested, please read the profile in full before expressing interest in her. She is a total love, full of life and energy, and we intend to make sure her first trail home is her only trial home... Forever or Nothing for this little lady, she deserves no less.

LUNA Luna loves to play ball. Its one of her favourite things to do. Her ball only comes out for play time then goes away so she can calm and relax and not become ball obsessed. SADIE Sadie's rehabilitation continues and is going well. Pool therapy is one part of her rehab plan along with PhysioKey and Photonic Therapy. She still has a long way to go but look at her now swimming by herself.

SADIE - bless her, it’s been a big day. PhysioKey and Photonic Therapy plus pool therapy today and she is all tuckered out. Make sure the sound is on 🥰💤💤💖🐾🐾

SADIE also continues to have pool therapy each week at Noah's Crossing Vet Clinic Look at those legs go. The pool therapy helps build the strength in her legs which also helps with her short conditioning sessions getting her used to her new wheels.

SADIE UPDATE Beautiful Sadie is waiting at Noah's Crossing Vets for her assessment and first hydrotherapy session. She is very nervous as you can see by her panting, big yawn and licking of her lips but she is in great hands. This will be one part of her rehabilitation program to help get her in a better place both physically and mentally. Thankyou to all involved and everyone who is supporting us and Sadie. SADIE UPDATE A HUGE thankyou to the people who donated towards Sadie's Rehabilitation. We have received a generous $1245 to get the ball rolling. A specific rehabilitation plan has been put in place and we are hoping for some positive results. Thankyou to her carer. We have been in contact with Noahs Crossing Vet Clinic and set up an account where Sadie will undergo pool sessions to support her in her rehabilitation. Initial consult and 10 swimming sessions $542 She will undergo PhysioKey and Red Light Blue Light Therapy. Thankyou to Chelsea at CP Equestrian. After further conversations with Handicapped Pets of Australia we are moving forward with getting Sadie some wheels, $1211.50. Thankyou to Gillian for helping with the process. This covers her physical rehabilitation to begin with but her carer will also be working on her mental state. Sadie is in the best hands, thankyou Dee. Care for Sadie will be ongoing and may change along the way depending on her progress and how she responds to the therapy, we will keep you updated on her progress.
