Back up to Koorda/Whycatchim for my 6 weekly run for hoof care and bodywork.

I am so grateful to have so many wonderful clients and equine family who I have been servicing for over 15 years.

Enjoy the beautiful weather, a reminder that this is an ideal time to dust and clean our winter rugs ready for the winter ahead.

Spider bits are common, horses can experiencing labored breathing, pain, tissue damage or swelling do not delay in calling in the veterinarian to take a look. The bite is not necessarily the problem, the possibility for a severe reaction is the larger concern.

Hi all, a very busy time with new and old clients in 2022 so a few updates to my very special Equine clients.

Monty is the cutest little man ever, on long term lease now with Jessica after his arrival with a bad hoof access and laminitis.
He has made amazing progress and I very much looking forward to his progress. I am very grateful to have been given the privilege in making his life pain free. 🐴🐎

Due to such a wet winter unfortunately our horses hoofs are suffering the effects which can be seen in pics below.

Please be vigilant in cleaning out your horses hoofs and making sure they do not suffer thrush.

Hi all due to the high amount of rain in the last month horses hoofs are suffering, no down time to dry out.

Keep vigilant in cleaning them out and trying to keep out of wet areas over long periods.

Hi all, with an extremely wet month please look out for Thrush in your horses hoofs, an infection of the central and lateral sulcus of the frog of the horse's foot, most often involving bacterial infection, occasionally fungal infection.

Bakers Hill is my next stop to do hoof care and bodywork on Joey.

What a huge improvement with Joey, he had significant improvement in his withers and croup.

The croup helps transfer energy for thrust and power from the hindquarters. The croup should be the same height as the withers to maintain balance in the horse's body. It should be round with muscle to provide a smooth contoured shape.

The weather gods certainly put on a show down at Margaret River today.

Blustery winds, rain, it came in waves all day, big thank you to my amazing handler Georgie Kirk.

A very special mention to Aixa Langford, you have done an awesome job in establishing Zephi's trust in picking up her back hoofs.

Today she was a star, gail force winds and rain, stood perfectly to have all four hoofs trimmed.

A special little pony called Nibbles has founded before and had EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome)

Corrective rehabilitation with knowledge and understanding of hoof function is imperative, as you can see how distorted the hoof can become over time.

Nibbles was amazing, a big job but so excited to see his improvements over the next 6 weeks.

Back last week to HORSEPOWER Australia at Brigadoon for Equine Technique Hoof Care appointment.
Such a pleasure to be given the opportunity to make some valued changes in these amazing horses lives.
Current servicing 13 horses, they have amazing team of volunteers and helper that change the lives of so many riders and families.

Our horses have a very special place in our hearts, they work with us to improve the physical and mental health of people with diverse abilities, bringing so much joy to their faces. Kappa is one of these specially trained, accredited animals who works with our HorsePower Brigadoon -Brigadoon Brumbies team on a weekly basis making a difference in the lives of all who work with him.

Unfortunately at the age of 15 Kappa has been diagnosed with a condition known as 'Kissing Spines' and requires surgery. Following this surgery it will be Kappa's turn to receive Physical Therapy and a little extra love and support to recover. As you can imagine the cost of surgery and recovery can be extensive but this gentleman is worth it and still has so much to give. Please help us to improve Kappa's quality of life so he can continue to bring so much joy to others.

Busy week up at Jennacubbine, York and Beverley.
Thank you Loz Monaghan and your amazing mare Monkey. 🙊🐴🐎

Almost 3 weeks ago Monkey came off second best after damaging her hip on a fence post.
Monkey is in her 20ies and such a credit to her owns on the high quality of care which reflects in just how young she looks.

Red light therapy, Equine Touch and deep tissue work to help in recovery and release of inflammation.

Look forward to hearing how Monkey is going when I follow up in a few weeks.

Indi is a 8 year old Palomino mare, she is stunning and such a credit to your care.

First off a few changes needed in hoof care balancing so that her foundation to do bodywork was supporting all the releases needed.

Such a responsive mare and rewarding changes in her posture and releases to her tight Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and neck.
