Say hello to Max, a 15 year old Greenwing Macaw. He was previously owned by an older gentleman who is going in for major surgery that will have him down for the better part of next year and didn’t feel he could care for him during that time. Max is an amazing bird, fully flighted and knows how to use his wings well, he has a small vocabulary and is just a lover! I really look forward to seeing his personality come out more, you can really tell this guy has had a great life!

Here we have `Charlie our `blue and Gold Macaw, she is approximately 16 years old and female. She had bloods and tests done when we bought her and we also had her micro chipped, as well as her wing looked at, as previous owner told us she broke it when she was little, but never took her to the vets to sort it, so it healed wrong….this means she cannot fly and will never need wings clipped….she can glide although a little erratically.
She is a fairly large bird and ideally will need a larger cage or space for her in her new home, she will come with current cage and food etc that she has.
I would say that she is more of a man’s bird as she tends to take to men more than women, she definitely seems to latch onto one particular person, this means that in a group she's not aggressive towards others and noisy with squeaking/screeching so needs care when handling. As you can see from photos she is able to be touched and made a fuss of….she will even give kisses too if you are lucky.
Sadly we are re-homing due to allergies that have come to head after so many years, doctor has advised to re-home because of this
