Let’s celebrate some amazing teams who trialled on the weekend and walked away with quallies, titles and places!

It is a very proud moment when your Sunday is filled with messages from happy students smashing out their searches!

Sniff and learn students collected a bunch of frillies over the 2 northern suburbs trials and I am screaming from excitement for them all!

From new novice teams to masters level we are so incredibly proud of each of you!

Overall 6 teams passed - 5 of those 6 teams are sniff and learn students so I couldn’t be more proud!!!

it was a HARD search and everyone who attempted it should be very proud no matter the result!

- inaccessible inside the door on the wall
- easy castle hide

6/15 dogs passed.
6 dogs alerted on food
1 dog found both hides but the handler forgot to call finish

From the dogs who false alerted on food the hide they missed is below
4 missed the door inaccessible
4 missed the castle hide

Classes are held in An ideal learning environment away from the distractions of the outside world, providing a great form of enrichment that you can then train in your home!

Helping resolve behaviour issues like separation anxiety, reactivity, general anxiety, over arousal, fear-aggression etc.

In competitions dogs find 4 specific essential oils odours - Birch, Clove, Anise, Cypress. But you can teach your dog to find any odour if you know how to.

Scent work training is incredibly fun for dogs and their owners.

SHOUT OUT POST

2 of our beginner students who recently completed their introduction to odour course with sniff and learn were brave and took a leap into scent trial world!

I couldn’t be happier for Doulton and Kira who both qualified at their first ever novice trial!!

both dogs showed incredible talent from the very beginning and we were so excited that their amazing handlers felt confident enough to enter their first trials!

I see lots more trials in their future!

Alexandria Graduation Night!!!

Our 2 classes from Monday graduated last night by completing some fun little mock trials

Our introduction to odour class did a 4 element novice mock trial with all students passing all 4 elements with flying colours!

Our advanced trial prep class completed 4 novice elements and 3 advanced ones! Acing all of them!

TRACKING WORKSHOP WITH TALIA DUELL

This weekend we hosted an amazing instructor Talia for an incredible 2 days of tracking foundations!

16 dog teams got to learn the foundations of introducing their dogs to tracking that you can do anywhere! each team progressed beautifully and got to finish their days with little out and back tracks plus article indications on the way!

Very grateful for Talias wisdom, laughs and training - can’t wait to bring her back for more!

Looking forward to seeing all the dogs progress - and I’m excited to get my own dogs training too

Had such a fun Sunday with The Doberman Club of NSW!

2 x Intro to odour sessions with 20 dogs across the morning and afternoon!

Mostly Dobermans plus a few other amazing doggos including a boxer, a golden, GSD and some mals!! All the amazing handlers and dogs learnt the 3 foundations of scent work - search skills, value for odour and the alert behaviour

We hope to see all of these teams continue their scent work journey - and we look forward to our next event with the club!
