This is so true, train the dog in front of you as they are all different and learn at their own pace

We've all been there. We follow a tried and true program to the letter. We put in the time. We take all of the steps. We do everything right.

And yet, something isn't quite what we imagined. Where did we go wrong? What personal flaw is being exposed by this obvious oversight?

Look, I know the spiral that one can get into when it feels like a training project is going no where, but sometimes, we can't know what a dog truly needs until we don't give it to them.

Sometimes, there are more steps you didn't know were there because your previous dog didn't ask for them.

It’s so hard being a dog

We can't blame dogs for what they do in an environment they haven't chosen, where they get very few choices on a daily basis and where their needs usually come after everybody else's. Meeting their needs properly gives them more resources to cope in this world with.
